Bluetooth is a low cost, low power and short-range radio frequency technology. If there are two bluetooth devices have established a connection with each other, the resulting is referred to a Piconet, the device that initiate the connection assumes the role of a master while the others are slaves. In piconet the master is controlling the routing data between slaves and same master using frequency hopping. A slave in one piconet can act as the master or slave in another piconet. This concept of overlapping piconet is referred to a Scatternet, the routing in scatternet needs special treatment. There are some algorithms proposed in the routing for bluetooth scatternet, these algorithms are depended on two major classes: Proactive and Reactive. In this research we study all algorithms presented in this area, and improvement routing algorithm based on reconstraction scatternet, addition design and implementation software tool to simulate routing algorithms in bluetooth scatternet networks in different scenarios and parameters to evaluate and compare between these algorithms.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
