This study aims to examine the effect of 5E learning approaches (Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, and Evaluate) and SETS learning approaches (Science, Environment, Technology, and Society) assisted by social media applications on students' thinking skills. The design of this study was a quasi-experimental design of 58 Lamongan Islamic University students who were selected by purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques using written tests in the form of pretest and posttest, data analysis using two-way ANOVA. The results of data analysis showed that there was a significant influence between groups of students who were taught with the 5E approach and the SETS approach to their critical thinking skills. This is based on the calculated F value of 17,547 with a significance value of 0,000. Based on the results of the descriptive analysis showed that the average value of students' critical thinking skills that were taught with the 5E approach was higher compared to the average score of students who were taught by the SETS approach. The average value of critical thinking ability of students who are given learning using the 5E approach is 73.11, while the average value of critical thinking ability of students who are given learning by the SETS approach is 61.90. The use of social media applications in these two approaches is very helpful to complete the experience learning becomes more concrete so it can help them in discussion, reading, and practice.
This research aims to identify misconceptions of Biodiversity and Protist material. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive study. The sampling technique is purposive sampling with the provisions that misconceptions have not been identified, and students have received Biodiversity and protists. The object of the research is the students of class XI SMA Islam Malang, SMAN 1 Trenggalek, MAN 2 Lamongan, and SMAN 1 Pare, each in one class with a total of 127 students. Retrieval of data using a diagnostic instrument in the form of multiple-choice open reason (MCOR) with a total of 15 questions about Biodiversity and 15 questions about Protist. The results showed the average of misconceptions of 22,08% experienced by students on Biodiversity and the mean of misconceptions of 13,25% experienced by students on Protist. The highest misconception occurred in the threat indicator of biodiversity damage that is equal to 35,91%. Whereas for Protist, the highest misconception occurred in the sub-indicator identification of the general characteristics of Protist like an animal that is 26,28%. The conclusion is the misconception on the material of Biodiversity and Protist, including misconception type 2 or Mi-2, that is, students answer incorrectly to the core questions and are accompanied by the right reasons. A suggestion from the research that has been done is that it is necessary to develop a level three diagnostic instrument used by experts to find out students' misconceptions so that the results are more detailed. Besides, it is necessary to identify the causes of misconceptions and identify misconceptions in student handbooks on Biodiversity and Protist.
Tulisan ini berupaya menjelaskan dinamika dakwah Islam yang dialami da’i dalam menghadapi perkembangan zaman yang semakin modern. Tulisan ini memiliki fokus bahasan tentang bagaimana cara berdakwah di era milenial dengan menyiapkan da’i agar mampu beradaptasi dengan perkembangan IPTEK sehingga dapat memanfaatkan berbagai media komunikasi dan informasi yang banyak dipergunakan oleh para generasi milenial. Riba is an economic activity that is prohibited by the Qur’an. Chronologically, the ban has been outlined clearly. On the other hand, bank interest that become one pillar of the existence of financial institutions is rated synonymous with usury. Financial institutions have become a pillar of economic growth. The problem is why the Qur’an forbids usury, whereas various economic activities ‘need’ the existence of interest that are identical to the usury. This study found two findings. First, the prohibition of riba in the Qur’an have preceded other forms of restrictions are more morally intolerable that broadly impacts a major disadvantage in the community. On the other side of the Qur’an strongly encourages the public Makkah to help the poor and orphans around him. Second, the prohibition of riba in the Qur’an has relevance to the real sector of the economy. Therefore, the economy based on usury will naturally ignore the underlying transaction which is the basis of the real sector. As a result of the investors (capitalists) certainly fortunate while the money manager/entrepreneur is still no clarity, so that the position is unbalanced, unjust. The usurious economic system can lead to gaps world community economic growth constantly.
his research is focused on the regulation of implementing guarantee for halal products in Indonesia and crucial issues related to them. This research is normative juridical research using a statute approach. The conclusions of this study include; first, there are several crucial issues and topics relating to the implementation of guarantee of halal products in Indonesia, namely halal certification, mandatory and voluntary in halal certification, criminal provisions, and halal product guarantee management institutions. Second, the regulation of halal product guarantees when viewed from the Statute Approach can be analyzed using three legal principles: (1) lex superior derogat legi inferiori concludes that all rules for guaranteeing lower halal products are replaced by the higher ones; (2) lex specialis derogat legi generali confirms that the JPH Law is a specific regulation that regulates the guarantee of halal products; and (3) lex posterior derogat legi priori requires that the rules for guaranteeing halal products as contained in the JPH Law replace the guarantee rules for halal products that existed in the previous period.
