Abstract:Reading skill is one of the four main language skills taught in the classes of the English Department of Faculty of Education of Islamic University of Malang (FKIP Unisma). As the result of teaching reading had not achieved satisfactory result, the researcher conducted a study to find out how texts structure tasks can improve the students' reading comprehension. This research was using a classroom action research. It comprised four phases: planning, implementation, observation and reflection, those were adopted from Kemmis and Taggart's action research model (1988). The subjects of the study were the four semester students of the English Department of FKIP Unisma in 2006 academic year. In the procedures and implementation process, one cycle consisting of four actions was done. The instruments used in the study were observation sheets and test. The observation sheets were made two forms. One form of observation sheets was to observe the teacher in implementing the action and the other observation sheets were used to observe the students' activities or reaction to the teachers' activities during the learning-teaching process. The second instrument used was a test.The test result showed that the students' mean score was 75.88 and the lowest score the students obtained was 65. The researcher decided that no more cycle was needed for the study had met the criteria of success. The action was considered successful if the students' mean score reached 75 or under the category of B+, and the lowest score the student obtain was not less than 65.00.
Good local government financial statements are financial statements according to the qualitative characteristics of financial statements, which are relevant, reliable, comparable and understandable. However, the phenomenon shows that there are still weaknesses in financial reporting in several local governments in Indonesia, especially in the provinces of Papua and West Papua based on the findings of the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (IHPS II BPK, 2017). The purpose of this study is to obtain empirical evidence of the role of moderating financial assistance and apparatus competency on the quality of government financial reports. Explanation of the relationship between variables was using an institutional theory perspective. The survey was conducted in 2018 on 42 Local Governments in Papua and West Papua. Methods of processing and analyzing data were using SEM-PLS with WarpPLS 6.0 statistical software. The results of the apparatus competency research have a positive effect on the quality of financial statements. A financial resistance positively strengthens the influence of apparatus competency on the quality of local government financial reports. Thus, efforts to overcome the presentation of quality financial statements require competent apparatus through the existence of financial assistance policies. Limitations of the study are the method of collecting data using a questionnaire and that it is very possible for the bias to occur. Therefore, efforts to achieve better results need to be accompanied by an interview method in order to obtain additional information as a comparison of respondents' answers; 2) the determination coefficient value of R- square is 0.41 or 41% indicating that there are still 0.59 or 59% variability in the quality of Local Government Financial Statements (LKPD) which can be explained by other variables outside the research model.
Pondok Pesantren Quro Bilal Bin Robah merupakan pondok pesantren Tahfidz yang berada di Depok, Jawa Barat. Pondok pesantren saat ini hanya terfokus pada pelajaran agama dan bimbingan kewirausahaan kepada santri dengan mengajarkan kewirausahaan secara konvensional, dimana produk yang dihasilkan masih dipasarkan secara offline. Padahal pemasaran pada zaman sekarang ini, seharusnya sudah memanfaatkan kemajuan teknologi. Peranan teknologi dalam pemasaran berkaitan dengan cara promosi dan mendistribusikan barang dan jasa kepada kelompok pembeli, sehingga pemasaran barang dan jasa dapat menjangkau pasar yang lebih luas. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian yakni dengan memberikan sosialisasi dan pelatihan e-commerce sehingga diharapkan ada pengembangan akses pasar atas produk-produk yang dihasilkan oleh para santri. Berdasarkan hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian pada santri Pondok Pesantren Quro Bilal Bin Robah, maka dapat disimpulkan, pertama, pengembangan keterampilan para santri tentang kewirausahaan harus ditanamkan sejak dini, dengan memberikan motivasi dan pengetahuan kewirausahaan terhadap para santri. kedua, pengetahuan kewirausahaan menjadi sangat penting untuk kemandirian nanti jika sudah keluar dari pondok, sehingga diperlukan pembekalan kepada para santri saat masih di pondok, guna menghadapi kehidupan dimasa depan. ketiga, seiring perkembangan zaman, pengetahuan dan kemampuan berjualan online dengan menggunakan e-commerce menjadi sangat penting sebab dengan menggunakan aplikasi e-commerce yang mudah menjangkau konsumen dari seluruh Indonesia, sehingga pemasaran hasil-hasil produksi santri dapat lebih luas. The study is aimed to uncover that a boarding system in junior-senior high school (SMP-SMA) Semesta Billingual Boarding School (BBS) Semarang adopted the pesantren style. This is evidenced by the fact that, like pesantren, the typical of boarding school in BBS Semarang puts more emphasis on strengthening the affective (akhlāq) aspects, because of; 1) the curriculum of all subjects in school mutually integrated, 2) the curriculum design by the development of self-habituation, 3) design through creating climate and culture, 4) constitute the hidden curriculum, 5) more "mutually adaptive" and dominated by transmission model rather than transaction and transformation model, 6) can be used as an eclectic systems, between constructivist and non-constructivist, the social and personal model, the information and processing model, the humanism and behavioral oriented. The main purpose of the schools adopts the boarding school system to maintain and improve the quality of learners morals. However by adopting such system, learners can be monitored for almost 24 hours because they had been living in the college. Thus, adopting a boarding school system can be a solution to overcome and reduce morale among students dekandensi Indonesia and even in other countries.Keywords: Pesantren, Billingual, Junior-Senior High School. Peserta didik akan memperoleh pengetahuan yang sangat luas melalui kegiatan literasi karena berkaitan erat dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Kegiatan literasi di sekolah dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan berbagai sumber referensi, menerapkan strategi literasi dalam proses belajar, dan mengkombinasikan strategi literasi dengan kegiatan pemecahan masalah. Literasi dan berpikir kritis sangat penting bagi peserta didik, khususnya di era disrupsi yang mengalami perkembangan IPTEK sangat pesat. Dengan demikian, artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran literasi dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan implementasi budaya literasi di sekolah. </span><span>Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualititaf pendekatan studi literatur atau studi kepustakaan. Data pada penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan cara meninjau literatur yang berkaitan dengan objek penelitian, seperti: buku, majalah, koran, laporan hasil penelitian, jurnal, dan lain-lain. Hasil temuan menunjukkan bahwa (1) budaya literasi memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Semakin tinggi kemampuan literasi peserta didik, maka akan semakin tinggi juga tingkat kekritisan peserta didik tersebut; dan (2) implementasi budaya literasi dalam proses pembelajaran dilakukan dengan delapan tahapan yaitu: pemantauan pemahaman teks, penggunaan literasi multimoda, instruksi jelas dan eksplisit, pemanfaatan alat bantu, respon terhadap berbagai jenis pertanyaan, membuat pertanyaan, proses literasi (analisis, sintesis, dan evaluasi), dan meringkas isi teks.</span>
