Physical distancing, which is widely practiced limiting the spread of COVID-19, is recognized to contain mathematical thoughts that can be harnessed as a context for prospective teachers’ practices of mathematical problem posing. The goal of this study is to investigate the profile of mathematical tasks posed by prospective mathematics teachers using the context of physical distancing that meets the criteria of numeracy tasks. Data were collected from 66 mathematical tasks posed by thirty-three prospective teachers at a public university in Surabaya, Indonesia, attending an assessment course of numeracy based on a problem-posing task. To analyze, the posed tasks were first identified as solvable or unsolvable tasks and then further categorized into the domains of the level of context use and the level of cognitive processes. Results show that the level of context use embedded in the posed tasks varies from zero to first order, with only a few of the posed tasks being coded as having second-order context. Regarding the levels of cognitive processes, most of the posed tasks reach the level of understanding, with only a small number of reasoning tasks identified. Interestingly, all the tasks coded to contain second-order context are classified as reasoning tasks. Some implications regarding designing numeracy tasks using physical distancing and interventions in teacher education related to numeracy task design are discussed.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil komunikasi matematika tertulis siswa MA dalam pemecahan masalah berdasarkan jenis kelamin dan kemampuan matematika. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 6 siswa kelas XI MIPA MAN 1 Lamongan yang terdiri dari satu siswa laki-laki dan perempuan berkemampuan matematika tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan keakuratan dan kelancaran komunikasi matematika tertulis siswa laki-laki dan perempuan berkemampuan matematika tinggi adalah akurat dan lancar. Kelengkapan komunikasi matematika tertulis siswa perempuan berkemampuan matematika tinggi adalah lengkap sedangkan siswa laki-laki hanya tidak lengkap untuk menggunakan aturan. Keakuratan komunikasi matematika tertulis siswa laki-laki berkemampuan matematika sedang adalah akurat untuk menuliskan hal-hal yang diketahui dan ditanya serta membuatkan kesimpulan sedangkan siswa perempuan adalah akurat untuk menuliskan hal-hal yang diketahui dan ditanya serta membuatkan gambar/sketsa. Kelengkapan komunikasi matematika tertulis siswa laki-laki dan perempuan berkemampuan matematika sedang adalah hanya lengkap untuk menuliskan hal-hal yang diketahui dan ditanya. Kelancaran komunikasi matematika tertulis siswa laki-laki dan perempuan berkemampuan matematika sedang adalah lancar. Keakuratan dan kelengkapan komunikasi matematika tertulis siswa laki-laki dan perempuan berkemampuan matematika rendah adalah hanya akurat dan lengkap untuk menuliskan hal-hal yang diketahui dan ditanya. Kelancaran komunikasi matematika tertulis siswa laki-laki dan perempuan berkemampuan matematika rendah adalah tidak lancar.
Salah satu aspek kurikulum 2013 yang perlu disempurnakan adalah buku teks. Buku teks berperan untuk membantu guru dalam menyampaikan materi dan dapat membantu siswa dalam menunjang materi yang disampaikan oleh guru. Kenyataan di lapangan, guru enggan menggunakan buku teks matematika siswa termasuk buku matematika kelas viii semester 1 edisi revisi 2017. Hal ini dikarenakan masih ada beberapa kesalahan dan juga buku masih sulit dipahami oleh sebagian siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis adanya kesalahan yang terdapat pada buku matematika siswa kelas viii materi relasi dan fungsi. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan rancangan penelitian deskriptif. Keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi data dan kecukupan referensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa masih terdapat 6 kesalahan konsep, 2 kesalahan gambar dan 15 kesalahan penulisan. Dari temuan ini, dapat dikatakan bahwa kualitas buku ini belum maksimal dan perlu adanya perbaikan sehingga sesuai tujuan awal pembuatan buku.
This research takes the theme of enrichment of human reproduction learning in the view of Islam in SMA Negeri 1 Kedungadem Bojonegoro. The reason for this research is that the phenomenon of the high number of social pathology in the Bojonegoro Kedungdalem area. In the last 3 years vulnerable, from 2016 to 2018 there were many cases of abortion and cases of pregnancy outside marriage in Kedungadem District. In 2016 there were 2 cases of pregnancy out of wedlock, in 2017 there was 1 case of pregnancy out of wedlock, whereas in 2018 there was an increase in which there was 1 case of abortion and 3 cases of pregnancy out of wedlock. This research was designed with a research and development approach, in accordance with the research instructions, then the data was collected and analyzed accordingly in the theoretical study in Chapter II so that the descriptive data was revealed and could find the meaning of the phenomena that occur in research naturally. The results of the analysis of this study can be concluded 1. Human reproduction learning in general in the material of human reproduction has been carried out well by biology teachers because it has fulfilled its components, namely, there are core competencies, basic competencies, indicators and learning objectives. 2. Learning of human reproduction in the view of Islam in biology subjects has not been included, to facilitate the teacher in the implementation we made a learning module and learning PowerPoint that we pack in the form of a CD as attached. 3. The results of the enrichment of human reproduction learning in the Islamic perspective, enrichment of learning according to stakeholders of SMA Negeri 1 Kedungadem Bojonegoro is considered important, necessary, and in accordance with students in SMA Negeri 1 Kedungadem Bojonegoro
