The substantive purpose of this study was to identify the effect of using ICT on students' personality development. Population of the study consisted of students of two universitiesof Lahore. Sample of the study comprised randomly selected 242 students. A self-developed and validated instrument was used for data collection. Instrument comprised two sections one contained demographic variables and other statements related to personality development of students. A pilot study was conducted to validate the instrument. The reliability index (cronbach alpha) was .83 which is statistically significant. Data were analyzed through SPSS. t- test was run to identify mean difference in personality development of male and female students. ANOVA was applied to see mean difference in the responses of students, regarding their personality development in different programs. Results showed that use of ICT has a profound effect on Female students' personality. Results of ANOVA revealed that students of BBA department show more effect of ICT on their personality. Recommendations were made on the basis of findings.
This quantitative research was undertaken with the purpose to explore the relationship between enabling school structure (ESS) and mindfulness in secondary school teachers of Punjab. The population for this research study was comprised of 48652 SSTs working in 662 government high schools spread across the province of Punjab. Using a two-stage random sampling technique, 1266 secondary SSTs were selected from 216 government high schools out of 18 districts. The response rate was 74.47%. Form-ESS and M-Scale were adapted with prior permission. A pilot study was conducted to confirm the validity as well as reliability of the instrument. Necessary changes were made in the light of pilot testing. It was correlational research, and data were collected through a cross-sectional survey. Descriptive and inferential statistics were employed to analyze the data. Perceptions of teachers were also aggregated at the school level. Purpose: The main focus of the study was to explain the perspective of the principals of Vocational Training Institutions (VTIs) on the provision of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) to deprived and needy youth. These institutions are being run by Punjab Vocational Training Council (PVTC). This paper is an intellectual effort to search out the strengths and weaknesses of TVET program and to find out the actual needs of the institutes for providing quality technical and vocational education. Design/Methodology/Approach: The study was qualitative in nature. An in depth interview schedule, validated by a panel of three experts, was designed to collect data. The population of the study consisted of all 208 principals working in VTIs in Punjab. The sample of study consisted of 20 principals (10% of the population) who were randomly selected from all the institutes of Punjab. Findings: Results revealed that TVET is an effective tool for imparting skills to the deprived and needy youth which enables them to live their lives with prosperity and dignity. Additionally, it is an important factor to alleviate poverty. On the other hand, TVET program is lacking in provision of latest equipment, trained and sufficient staff and demand driven skills. Implications/Originality/Value: The study will be beneficial to policy makers, provincial government and the authorities of Punjab Vocational Training Council.
