Freedom of the press after the 1998 reform had an impact on increasing the number of mass media in Indonesia. Coupled with the presence of the internet as new media, making media competition increasingly complex. Faced with this phenomenon a number of media began to try to unite information technology, communication and content which is referred to as media convergence. This research is a qualitative research. Research data collection is done by observation, interview and documentation. This research concludes that Radar Jogja implements the concept of continuum convergence. Radar Jogja has carried out four stages of continuum convergence namely cross promotion, cloning, coopetition, and content sharing. While the form of Radar Jogja's media convergence implementation in the face of media competition, is identified as follows (1) optimization of new media, Radar Jogja has succeeded in becoming a technology-literate media as evidenced by its activity on various media platforms. (2) The issue selection strategy, Radar Jogja is able to raise national issues which are then localized according to the conditions on the field. (3) bandling advertising, a strategy to get clients by providing a variety of advertising service choices. (4) coordination, build a solid team and work together to increase loyalty to the company.
The link between religion and cyberspace has become a necessity in the cyber era. The internet, in this case social media, changes many patterns and forms of communication. Social media has become a massive channel used by Indonesian preachers for the past decade or so. Da'wah on social media presents a number of challenges and opportunities, especially when dealing with millennials as majority users. This study intends to describe the phenomenon of da'wah on social media among millennial Muslims. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with literature study as a data collection method. The conclusion of this study is that there are three main points in viewing da'wa, millennial Muslims and social media. First, the character of millennial generation who tend to be out of the box and always connected to the internet more or less changes the da'wah landscape in Indonesia. They slowly leave the conventional da'wa, both in terms of theme and method choices. The popularity Hanan Attaki’s da’wah became one of the markers. Secondly, social media despite having a positive contribution to da'wah but also left a number of notes that demand attention, such as prejudice, easy spread of hate speech, reluctance to access primary sources and quality filter problems. Third, looking at millennial generations who have the characteristics of tolerance, pluralism and being able to appreciate diversity brings opportunities for the development of moderate Islamic da'wah in Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan bagaimana bentuk resistensi perempuan pada film Secret Superstar karya sutradara Advait Chandan. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori semiotik model Roland Barthes dan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Penelitian ini berusaha untuk memecahkan masalah berdasarkan data-data yang ada yakni dengan menyajikan data, menganalisis dan menginterpretasikan data. Kemudian data yang sudah diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan teori semiotik model Roland Barthes. Pada teori semiotik menurut Roland Barthes yang menggunakan model siginifikasi tahapan yakni denotasi, konotasi dan mitos. Selanjutnya peneliti menganalisis resistensi perempuan yang ada dalam film Secret Superstar. Resistensi perempuan menurut James C. Scott terbagi menjadi dua yaitu resistensi terbuka dan resistensi tertutup. Film Secret Superstar bercerita mengenai perjuangan perempuan melawan ketidakadilan dalam hidupnya yang disebabkan oleh diskriminasi dari pihak penguasa (laki-laki).
The big challenge of Indonesia in the political year (2018-2019) is the rise of hoax and expressions of hatred, especially with issues of ethnicity, religion, race and intergroup (SARA). Both of them have the potential to be a nation-dividing tool. Islamic Tertiary Institutions have the responsibility to reduce the spread of hoaxes and expressions of hatred, based on the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. This research illustrates the strategy of IAIN Surakarta to overcome SARA hoaxes and expressions of hatred issues in the political year. Theoretically, media literacy includes two things: individual competence consisting of technical skills and critical understanding, and social competence in communicative abilities. In conclusion, the effort to overcome hoaxes and hate speech by IAIN Surakarta is to build critical attitudes of students and the community through various activities, such as: seminars, discussions, community service based study programs, and collaboration with anti-hoax communities. In addition, IAIN Surakarta also strengthened religious moderation through several ways, such as lecturing in community, classroom teaching, and research. Thus, critical understanding and technical skills as aspects of media literacy can be developed.
<p>Tulisan ini menunjukkan perkembangan dakwah kontemporer di Indonesia ditandai dengan fenomena maraknya komunitas hijrah diberbagai Kota. Bahkan, hijrah sudah menjadi sebuah fenomena yang tak asing dan bahkan familiar di kalangan masyarakat Islam. Bagi pemeluk agama Islam, hijrah sudah menjadi fenomena yang ramai dilakukan. Dalam hal ini dijelaskan bahwa hijrah sebagai jalan untuk mengubah seorang individu atau bertaubat. Baik yang dilakukan oleh setiap individu ataupun dalam sebuah komunitas. Salah satunya di Kota Solo yang memiliki latar keberagamaan dan keberagaman yang dinamis. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menguraikan secara detail tentang pengelolaan dakwah dalam komunitas Jaga Sesama Solo. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif yang menjelaskan mengenai manajemen dakwah di Komunitas Jaga Sesama Solo. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Adapun wawancara mendalam (<em>indept interview</em>) dengan pengelola komunitas Jaga Sesama (ketua, bagian humas dan anggota). Hasil penelitian ini adalah Komunitas Jaga Sesama menjalankan dalam menajemen dakwah untuk mewadahi generasi muda Solo belajar dasar Islam. Perencanaan dakwah (<em>takhthith</em>) ditempuh melalui menentukan sasaran dakwah, menyusun visi misi komunitas, memilih ustaz. Pengorganisasian dakwah (<em>tanzhim</em>) dengan pembagian tugas kepada pengurus komunitas. Penggerakan dakwah (<em>tawjih</em>) dengan menghadirkan kegiatan yang relevan dengan generasi muda dan optimalisasi media sosial. This </em><em>study </em><em>conclued</em><em>es</em><em> that the Komunitas Jaga Sesama Solo carries out da’wa management to accommodate the young generation of Solo to learn the basics of Islam. Da'wa planning (takhthith) is pursued through determining the target of the da'wa, compiling the vision and mission of the community, choosing the ustaz. Organizing da'wa (tanzhim) by distributing tasks to community administrators. The movement of da'wa (tawjih) by presenting activities that are relevant to the younger generation and optimization of social media. Control and evaluation of da’wa (riqabah) by monthly evaluation. </em></p>
