The main objective of this study is to investigate the influence of Human Resources Man-agement (HRM) practices (employee communications, employee development and rewards and recog-nitions) on employee engagement. Employee engagement has emerged as one of the most important topics in the sphere of human resource management. The aim of this paper is to examine and gain bet-ter understanding of the drivers that influence employee engagement in a printing company. Employee communication, employee development, rewards, and recognitions were selected as independent varia-bles. Sample for the study consists of 151 staff from manufacturing. Data were collected with the help of a questionnaire and analyzed using the Statistic Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 23. Throughout the statistical analysis, it is found that there is a significant relationship between the two independent variables with the dependent variable. In conclusion, it is observed that HRM practices have an influence on the employee work engagement. This shows that employers need to develop proper and well-structured HRM policies in attaining high work engagement level among the employ-ees.
The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between job resources, namely autonomy, social support and performance feedback and work engagement. Data were gathered through questionnaire from a sample of academicians (n = 532) who worked in four public universities (Mu'tah University, The University of Jordan, The Hashemite University and Yarmouk University) located in the southern, middle and northern region of Jordan. Results indicate that autonomy, social support and performance feedback were a significant factor in influencing academicians work engagement. These findings generally supported past findings, which suggested that employees are more likely to engage with their work if they are given the autonomy, social support and performance feedback. The findings were discussed and implications were also put forward.
The present study has catered to one of the major issues faced by organizations across the globe, employee retention. Therein, the study attempted to examine the relationship of leaders’ emotional intelligence with employee retention. In parallel, the study also tested to underline if job satisfaction could mediate this relationship. Through targeting non-managerial employees working in the four- and five-star hotels in Jordan, the present study sampled 380 employees from the 56 hotels. Through using structural equation modelling approach via Smart PLS 2.0 M3, the present study found significant relationship between leaders’ emotional intelligence and employee retention hence suggesting that leaders’ emotional awareness and management of employees whilst enriching their emotional expression and skills can significantly help boost employee retention. Accordingly, the study also reported significant mediation of job satisfaction in the relationship between leaders’ emotional intelligence and employee retention. The study has reported that leaders’ emotional intelligence can induce sense of belongingness leading to enhance job satisfaction which further results in harnessing employee retention. The study forwards notable implications for practice and scope for future studies in light of the findings.
Aims To enhance the teaching quality in the field of visual communication design and make students to improve in all aspects of moral, intellectual and physical development, strengthen their ideological education, improve their ideological quality and strengthen their understanding of visual communication design art. Methods By using mathematical methods to construct models, and making appropriate selection of the literature method, practical teaching method and investigation method, the author made a comprehensive study on the artistic problems in art teaching from the aspects of definition, function, characteristics and students’ ideological quality, and discusses potential solutions. Results It had a positive effect on teachers and on their teaching methods, so that they have a better understanding of their teaching work, to motivate themselves towards their goals, make the classroom teaching vivid and improve the teaching efficiency. Conclusion The art of teaching visual communication has a close relationship with the strength and quality of people's thoughts; so, we must strengthen the artistic quality of visual communication design education, to improve students’ ideological quality and the art of teaching visual communication design. In our model, the motivation of teachers to create and sustain interest in students studying visual communication design is stronger when the imagination of ideological content is broad, and when the artistry is positive for right triangle and thoughtful for backward right triangle. The construction of the model is like a regular triangle and an inverted triangle combined to form a regular rectangle mathematical model. It will make visual communication design teaching like Mona Lisa so that people linger.
The present article aims to shed light on the concept of abusive supervision which is a growing organizational issue across the globe. Therein, the authors have attempted to underline some of the important scholarly findings and what they are suggesting particularly with regard to the effects of abusive supervision towards voluntary efforts for organizational betterment. The article elaborates on the growing concern of impolite, rude and hostile behaviours of supervising authorities towards their subordinates and how they could result critically for organizations aspiring to enhance citizenship behaviours. In parallel, the article also expounds on HRM as a strategic concept whilst unleashing on elements relating to technological primacy. The article aims to serve as a guideline for individuals enthusiastic to learn about the concept of abusive supervision and its consequences on individual citizenship behaviours towards the business. The paper concludes with implications for businesses in general and for HR practitioners in particular for better scholarly understanding of the discussed relationship.
