The reaction between diethyl(α-acetoxymethyl)vinylphosphonate 1 and nitrogen-or sulfur-based nucleophiles occurs easily at room temperature in water as a solvent in the presence of 1,4-diazabicyclo [2.2.1]octane (DABCO) as an organocatalyst. This simple procedure enables the synthesis of nitrogen-and sulfur substituted vinylphosphonates, and also allows a convenient use of water-soluble salts as nucleophiles.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
