Another service area that the Directorate of Religious Affairs, which has been expanding its field of activity day by day, has recently turned and attaches great importance is spiritual counseling and guidance in health institutions, namely hospitals. In this context, a protocol has been signed between the Presidency of Religious Affairs and the Ministry of Health. Unfortunately, it is a fact that it is late in this regard. Because these studies in various countries have started much earlier. In Turkey, it is a new start to implement more serious meaning. While the practice of spiritual counseling in hospitals that started in pilot cities in 2015 was limited to 6 cities in the same year, this number was increased to 14 in 2016, 38 in 2019 and finally 76 cities in 2021. It is a fact that religion has a positive effect on human body and mental health. That is why Turkey should the need is increasing corporate interest in this area in a positive way with each passing day as an academic.
