While mobile augmented reality applications for tourism, cultural heritage and informal learning are not an absolute novelty, there is a clear need for improving the user experience of these tools. In this paper, we present a proposal for a redesign of the Spotlight Timisoara AR application, towards an app that incorporates both visual guidance through augmented reality and immersive learning functionality. The proposal is in the form of a clickable prototype, which was tested with real users. We describe the results of the implementation and testing of the proposed application.
