In general, the marketing of fishery products is potentially inefficient. This study aims to analyze the structure, conduct, and performance of the Lemuru fish market in Muncar District, Banyuwangi Regency. The method used to analyze the data obtained at the research site is descriptive qualitative quantitative. The results showed that the structure of the Lemuru fish market formed a tight oligopoly market and concentrated on fish collectors. The CR4 value is 90% for collectors, 30% for retailers, and 18% for fishers. The shape of the market structure affects market conduct where traders are in the price-makers position while fishers are price-takers. The form of vertical business integration in the Lemuru fish market is a cooperation between collectors and retailers to increase profits and dominate the market. The causal relationship between market structure and market conduct forms an efficient market performance with share values in both marketing channels exceeding the standard efficiency values set at 47.37% in channel I and 52.94% in channel II. The results of this study indicate the importance of the role of local governments in carrying out fish auctions according to their functions, providing counseling on fishery capital loan programs, and processing added value to fishers. In addition, this research is also helpful for fishers related to loans for fishing businesses, prices, market needs, and added value of Lemuru fish.
PT XYZ is a company that produces various types of laundry machine with variety of capacity. It is important for a company to maintain the quality of production. The large number of different components originated from several suppliers scattered in several locations, require proper planning to avoid lack of parts or excessive of parts stored in the warehouse. The method of Activity Based Costing (ABC) and Hierarchical Clustering are employed to determine products and main components that are prioritized, as well as to perform reorder point calculation for product's main components. The result of research identifies five raw materials that should be prioritized and considered, which are Old Version Rad Radiator, As VCN D 50 mm (Length of 60 cm) Black PlatEser MS 1 mm, Motor 1 HP 3 Phase 4 pole B3 Toshiba, and Steam trap S31N Miyawaki 1.6 MPA 220 Degree 15 mm ½". Reorder point for old radiator could be carried out on the 4 th day with safety stock of 2 units. Maximum storage is determined for 6 units with EOQ of 4 units.
This study aims to analyze the structure of the Lemuru fish market that was formed in Muncar District, Banyuwangi Regency. There are two groups of respondents, fishermen (61 people) and marketing agencies (25 people). The sampling method used random sampling and slovin calculations to determine the number of fishermen respondents, the sample of marketing institutions used the snowball sampling method. To determine the market structure, the analysis used is the identification of the number of marketing institutions, market concentration using market share and CR4, product differentiation, and barriers to market entry. The results show that there are two marketing channels. Marketing channel one consists of 50 fishermen, five collectors, and seven retailers. Channel two consists of 11 fishermen and 13 retailers. From the analysis of market concentration using market share and CR4 at the fisherman and retailer level, a perfect competition market and a monopoly competition market at the collector level are formed. There is no product differentiation made by fishermen, collectors, and retailers. The barriers to entry and exit from the market faced by fishermen are natural and non-natural barriers, while collectors and retailers face non-natural barriers.
