Is another symposium on geographical epistemology a sign of a healthy discipline or a symptom of unresolved pathology ? Geography has evolved, mostly because times have changed and perhaps because geographers strive for relevance. A reading of certain journals is challenging. Is geography really what geographers do? To become more useful, should not academic geography first become more usable? After all, who should admire geographers? A subset of specialists, or the general public
