Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui mengapa para ABK bisa kurang disiplin dalam penggunaan APD dan untuk mengetahui penyebab kurangnya kontrol atau pengawasan dari officer dalam hal penggunaan PPE di atas kapal. Sampel penelitian ini adalah Anak Buah Kapal (ABK) bagian deck MV. Lumoso Karunia VIII. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan melakukan obeservasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan peneliti adalah memilih untuk melakukan penelitian melalui pendekatan kualitatif karena akan menyajikan data-data yang diperoleh secara deskriptif atau membuat gambaran mengenai situasi atau kejadian dan lebih banyak melakukan observasi. Hasil penelitian dalam upaya untuk mengoptimalkan penggunaan PPE diatas kapal MV. Lumoso Karunia VIII adalah dengan ditingkatkannya pemahaman para ABK dengan perwira melakukan familiarisasi dan simulasi praktek mengenai aturan penggunaan PPE serta diberikannya sanksi bagi perwira yang tidak melakukan pengawasan dengan benar
This research focuses on Johan Galtung’s theory of the culture of peace. Based on his thoughts, the problems in this study are: 1). What is Johan Galtung's concept of a culture of peace? 2). The methods and approaches used by Johan Galtung in dealing with conflicts so as to get a culture of peace? 3). Where is the relevance of Johan Galtung's thoughts to the cultural conditions of peace in Indonesia? His findings, Johan Galtung 's thoughts on a culture of peace without war and physical violence as a focus on preventing violent conflicts and wars between and within countries. Johan Galtung added the need for the abolition of construction to the need to eliminate physical violence and war. Indonesia's active participation in world peace is also realized in the positive reality of peace, namely the realization of a sense of security and economic justice from the existing system to eliminate racial, ethnic and religious discrimination based on social. This is supported by the philosophical existence of a culture of peace in several regions in Indonesia, namely 1). Pela Gandong in Maluku as an alliance system between villages based on a pledge of blood friendship, 2). In Javanese society, the term, namely tepa selira, shows us not to do something to other people, nor do we want to be treated like that, 3). In the Fak-Fak community, it is known as the motto of one three stone stove, 4). philosophic culture of Hambor in Manggarai through traditional rituals, 5). Chinese cultural philosophy, namely Ping. To prevent conflict in Indonesia, it is necessary to provide training and education in a culture of peace through schools and campuses in order to support the business climate in this country.
Angkutan laut di dunia ini berkembang sangat pesat. Kapal sebagai sarana angkutan laut yang dibangun lebih cenderung kearah spesialisasi jenis muatan yang diangkutnya, seperti kapal tanker. Kapal tanker SC ALIA XVII adalah kapal khusus pengangkut minyak Crude dan bahan – bahan kimia, milik perusahaan pelayaran PT . VEKTOR MARITIM. Pencemaran laut yang banyak terjadi bersumber dari kapal tanker, yang berlangsung pada proses diantaranya saat proses bongkar muat, penyucian tanki, buang ballast, pembuangan air got atau dari sisa slop tank. Tujuan mengkaji lebih dalam dan mengemukakan upaya peningkatan dan penanganan terjadinya pencemaran laut pada saat bongkar muat minyak di kapal SC ALIA XVII. Metode jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi dan wawancara langsung dan tidak langsung, dan dokumentasi sesuai dengan objek yang ada dilapangan. Hasil penelitian ini mendeskripsikan masalah yang ada di kapal tanker SC ALIA XVII dinataranya penyebab terjadinya pencemaran laut dari muatan minyak kapal dan awak kapal yang kurang terampil. Kesimpulan pencemaran muatan minyak dari muatan kapal di kapal tanker SC ALIA XVII di akibatkan karena crew kapal yang kurang disiplin dalam bekerja serta lalai dalam melaksanakan setiap bongkar muat juga terdapat kebingungan dan kepanikan dalam mengendalikan tumpahan minyak.
Radicalism and fundamentalism, commonly characterized by acts of terror and violence, are considered as serious threats to Indonesia as a nation. One of the triggers of radical and fundamentalist movements is the misunderstanding on some verses about violence, war, and murder in the Scriptures. The radicals and the fundamentalists tend to interpret literally and use those verses to legitimate their actions. This paper has no intention to blame and to correct verses of the Scriptures that are literally provocative for violence, but to offer some inspiration from patristic tradition about how to interpret the Bible verses on violence. There are three methods and one criterion, that is, method of “esegesi orante”, method of allegorical-spiritual, method of the Scripture interprets Scripture, and the criteria of ὠφέλειᾰ (ōphéleia: benefit). These methods and criterion may also be applied to interpret and to understand Koran verses on violence, as there are some provocative verses in regard to violence in both Scriptures. Moreover, Muslims also have the Tafsir (exegesis, commentary) as a methodology for reading and explaining the Koran, even accepting hermeneutics as a method of interpretation that is very relevant to understand the message of the Koran.
