This study aims to explore the factors influencing the intention to adopt cloud enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Jordan. The research proposes a new model by extending the technology acceptance model (TAM) with four additional factors, including computer self-efficacy, complexity, compatibility, and organizational support. Using a questionnaire, data was collected from 394 subjects. An adaptive neuro fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) was utilized to analyze the data. The results revealed that perceived usefulness and perceived ease-of-use of cloud ERP systems have a low-direct effect on the intention to adopt cloud ERP systems. Also, the study found that computer self-efficacy, complexity, compatibility, and organizational support have a low-direct effect on perceived usefulness and perceived ease-of-use of cloud ERP systems and, in turn, on the intention to adopt cloud ERP systems.
Although the critical success factors might be different between the pre and post-adoption stages of mobile wallets, there have been few studies conducted to examine those factors for the post-adoption stage when compared to the number of studies conducted to examine those factors for the pre-adoption stage. Yet, the post-adoption stage of mobile wallets is crucial to the success and sustainability of the mobile wallets’ ecosystem. Thus, this study developed and examined a model by integrating relevant factors into the Technology Acceptance Model 2 (TAM2). Data were collected from 578 mobile wallet users in Jordan using an electronic questionnaire. A structural equation modelling approach was utilized to analyze the data. The results revealed that perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use have statistically significant positive direct effects on the intention to continuous use of mobile wallets, while subjective norm does not. In addition to that, results indicated that trust, security, and ubiquity have statistically significant positive direct effects on perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use, and, in turn, on the intention to continuous use of mobile wallets. Moreover, this study found that perceived ease of use and subjective norms have statistically significant positive direct effects on perceived usefulness, and, in turn, on the intention of continuous use of mobile wallets. While risk does not have a significant effect on perceived usefulness, it has been found to have a statistically significant negative direct effect on perceived ease of use, and, in turn, on the intention to continuous use of mobile wallets. The findings of this study should help stakeholders to develop more effective consumer retention tactics and formulate appropriate marketing decisions.
Two datasets were obtained to develop an understanding of factors characterizing the eLearning experience of secondary school teachers and university undergraduate students in Jordan. Both datasets were collected via electronic questionnaires. The secondary school teachers’ dataset was collected toward the end of the second semester of the 2019/2020 academic year, and the university undergraduate students’ dataset was collected during the summer semester of the same year. Six hundred and sixty-six participants responded to the secondary school teachers’ questionnaire, and one thousand participants responded to the university undergraduate students’ questionnaire. A structural equation modelling approach was utilized to analyze the data. Future research might extend the two data models by collecting data about other factors and examine their impact on the eLearning experience of secondary school teachers and university undergraduate students in Jordan and other countries. Moreover, the datasets can be compared with other data from different developing and developed countries.
COVID-19 has put pressure on medical crews to respond rapidly and operate in real time, which could affect their job performance. However, adopting time management practices appear to mitigate adverse job outcomes and capitalize on positive ones. Therefore, by adopting the integrative time management model, this study analyzes the relationship between time management (setting goals and priorities and mechanics dimensions), job satisfaction, and job burnout (emotional exhaustion dimension) among Jordanian medical staff during COVID-19. The data were gathered via an electronic questionnaire. In total, 737 respondents participated in the survey. RStudio-2022.07.1 was utilized to code all statistical analyses, including a description of demographics and structural equation modeling. Results revealed that while the setting goals and priorities dimension (z = 4.641, p = 0.000) positively relates to job satisfaction, the mechanics dimension has the opposite effect (z = 1.887, p = 0.059). Moreover, while the setting goals and priorities dimension (z = 2.369, p = 0.018) is positively related to the emotional exhaustion dimension, the mechanics dimension (z = –2.086, p = 0.037) is negatively related. Finally, it was found that job burnout does not affect job satisfaction (z = –0.645, p = 0.519). The findings imply that medical institutions should support their staff in setting goals and priorities to accomplish their tasks and encourage time management. Finally, medical staff should have the training to help them overcome any stress they experience when they plan their work-related tasks.
Blockchain technology is revolutionizing all sectors of industries including the healthcare one. Blockchain technology applications have been realized in healthcare as they have the potential to revolutionize healthcare systems. Integrating blockchain into the design of supply chain design leads to decentralizing the management of the supply chain, and, in turn, improves workflow efficiency and reduces the various security threats. Therefore, this study aimed at examining the impact of integrating blockchain technology, into supply chain practices, on supply chain transparency and resilience. By adopting the organizational information processing theory, this study developed a research model that explored the impact of blockchain technology features including data quality, smart contracts, and traceability on supply chain resilience and transparency. Furthermore, this study examined the effect of supply chain transparency on supply chain resilience. The data was collected, from healthcare industry personnel, in Jordan, using an electronic survey. In total, 215 participants responded to the questionnaire. RStudio- 2022.07.1 was used to conduct the data analysis. Results revealed that data quality significantly and positively affects supply chain transparency and resilience. In addition to that, results indicated that while smart contracts are positively related to supply chain transparency, they do not affect supply chain resilience. Also, traceability was found to be positively related supply chain transparency and resilience. Finally, it was found that blockchain-driven supply chain transparency positively impacts blockchain-driven supply chain resilience. The results imply that integrating blockchain technology into the supply chain can enhance both supply chain transparency and resilience, and, in turn, provide the supply chain the capability of recovering to its original state should it encounter disruptive events. The outcomes of this study can help supply chain managers and other stakeholders to develop strategies and tactics to best utilize blockchain technology to enhance blockchain-driven supply chain transparency and resilience.
