Background:Lockdown during the COVID-19 pandemic can affect the behavior of daily habits among children and adolescents. This study aims to determine the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown on the physical activity and sleeping habits of children and adolescents. Subjects and Method:This study is a systematic review by searching for articles using the online database PubMed and BASE. The dependent variable is the COVID-19 lockdown. The independent variables are physical activity and sleep habits. Results:: A total of 8 articles were included in the qualitative analysis. 6 articles explained that the lockdown during the COVID-19 virus pandemic reduced the frequency of physical activity in children and adolescents. 6 articles explained that the lockdown during the COVID-19 pandemic caused disturbances in sleep quality and an imbalance of sleep time in children and adolescents. Conclusion:The lockdown policy or activity restriction during the COVID-19 pandemic significantly reduces physical activity and causes sleep quality disturbances and imbalance sleep time in children and adolescents.
Disasters can occur at any time in any part of the world with impacts on individuals, families and communities resulting in threats to the quality of life. Preparedness is the activities and steps taken in advance to ensure an effective response to the impact of a disaster. It takes the community in increasing preparedness for disasters by providing family-based education about disaster preparedness. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of family-based education in improving disaster preparedness. This research is a pre-experimental study with a post-test and pre-test one group design. The population of this research is families who live in areas prone to volcanic disasters. Samples were taken as many as 37 families with simple random sampling technique. The independent variable is family-based education and the dependent variable is disaster preparedness. The research data were analyzed to determine the difference in disaster preparedness during the pre-test and post-test using a paired t-test. The difference in the mean value of disaster preparedness before and after the intervention was statistically significant. The p-value was smaller than alpha (0.00 < 0.05), it can be concluded that family-based education is effective to improve disaster preparedness. Family-based education can help and encourage families to explore their strengths so that they can improve disaster preparedness.
Pre-eruption is one of the factors that trigger anxiety because residents cannot predict when a disaster will occur. Providing counseling with a family approach is a process of support in dealing with problems so that it can reduce anxiety. This study to examine the effect of family counseling on reducing anxiety during pre-eruption. It was quasi-experimental one-group design with a pre-test and post-test. There were 49 residents with moderate to severe anxiety using purposive sampling. The measurement of anxiety score using Zung Self-Rating Anxiety Scale. The bivariate analysis was carried out by parametric test using paired t-test. The result showed that p-value 0,00 (p < 0,05), indicated a significant difference anxiety score in pre-test and post-test. There was an effect of family counseling on anxiety during pre-eruption among residents. Counseling can be used as an intervention in the family to reduce anxiety.
