The existence of manuscripts in the Minangkabau area has undergone a development that is not only in certain surau but can even be found in various places in Minangkabau. The text of the manuscript is generally related to Islamic studies, so that the direction of the scientific field of study will support scientific development in the fields of ḥadīth, shari‘a, history, Islamic education and the development of thought, philosophy (manṭīq), and Sufism. This study uses primary data derived from existing manuscripts with philology and codicology approaches. This approach uses manuscripts as research sources to be presented in a mapping which has been identified that philology, codicology, and paratext studies are the initial bases in studying aspects of the text in Minangkabau manuscripts. On this basis, Islamic studies institutions have a great opportunity to study the most important aspects of the manuscript or to use the manuscript as the main source. This is related to the study of manuscripts in the development of ḥadīth studies, development of shari‘a studies, development of historical studies, development of Islamic education and thought, philosophy (manṭīq), and Sufism.
This study discusses the integration of science at USIM as a model for UIN Imam Bonjol Padang in discussing the philosophical design of Islamic studies after changing the status of the institution. This integration backgrounds at USIM are science and the local socio-cultural, the same condition also occurs at UIN Imam Bonjol Padang in Minangkabau by uniting religion and tradition as local wisdom. This research aims at analyzing the absorption of Islamic values in the general sciences, elaborating the design of competitive Islamic studies, formulating models for the application of science integration at USIM, and predicting the opportunities and challenges of their application at UIN Imam Bonjol Padang. This study used qualitative methods to understand the phenomenon as a whole so that the research data are sourced from leadership informants, lecturers, institution managers, and documents collected through participant observation, interviews, focus group discussions, and documentation. The results illustrate that the integration of knowledge in USIM Malaysia has a uniqueness that can motivate and encourage the Muslim community to make it the first choice. The approach taken by USIM is comprehensive by uniting naqli and ‘aqli which are summarized in 7 USIM Terrace. This research can be used as a rule model for UIN Imam Bonjol Padang who is in a transition period of institutional status to compile an integrated Islamic study design based on Minangkabau local wisdom as a socio-cultural background to form loyal, knowledgeable, and cultured scholars, and participate in solving various problems of community life.

This article was intended to measure UIN Imam Bonjol’s lecturers’ understanding of the privacy policy applications used for academic activities during the Covid-19 Pandemic. The need to conduct online lectures opens the opportunity for all lecturers to choose the supporting application in the lecture process freely. The existence of a privacy policy in every use of the chosen application requires understanding for prospective users of services so as not to have an adverse effect. This study used a survey research method using a data collection instrument in the form of a questionnaire which was analyzed quantitatively using descriptive statistics. The findings of this study are, the lecturer’s awareness of privacy policy is quite high, as seen from the results of this study. Even 100% of respondents are aware of the need to protect personal data in using applications in academic activities during the Covid-19 Pandemic. However, there is a potential problem of personal data leakage from some respondents, more or less of 36.3%, who are not too concerned with the privacy policy rules, and instead do not read the policy at all. In this group of respondents, it is necessary to have guidance and socialization initiated by UIN Imam Bonjol Padang.
