The study investigated the influence of traditional nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium (NPK) mineral fertilizers and nano-fertilizers on yield, and its attributes, and fiber characters of two Egyptian cotton varieties Giza 94 and Giza 96. The design of the experiment was a split-plot with four replicates. Results indicated that Giza 94 cultivar surpassed Giza 96 in agronomic characteristics, although Giza 96 exhibited the highest fiber reading. Nano-chitosan (NPK)-fertilization significantly improved the mean value of boll weight, seed yield, lint yield, lint percentage, upper half mean (UHM ), fiber uniformity index, fiber tenacity, and Micronaire value in both seasons. Conversely, the most minimal values for the aforementioned characteristics were recorded with the control NPK fertilizer over the two seasons.
Compliant mechanism becomes a promising alternative to the traditional ones for precision applications. Flexure hinge compliant mechanisms have been used in different fields. However, the design of their geometric parameters is so critical. Therefore, a lot of work are done in optimization of their design parameters. One of the main important steps is to select the sensitive parameters in such design problems. In this article a study of sensitivity of geometric parameters of positioning stage compliant mechanism are represented to be used as a pilot step for the selection of the optimization design variables. The effect of each parameter is regarding to the achieved amplification ratio of the positioning stage and the input stiffness of the mechanism. The modeling is done using Pseudo-Rigid-Body Model on MATLAB. The sensitivity analysis is done using ISIGTH software. The results of different sensitivity analysis methods reveal the most important parameters of the compliant mechanism that have significant effect on amplification ratio.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
