Di Desa Kepuh Kecamatan Kertosono yang merupakan tempat tinggal penulis rata-rata masyarakatnya bermatapencaharian sebagai petani dan buruh tani. Kemudian, pada tahun 2021 hadir program yang diselenggarakan oleh desa bersama Pembudidaya Ikan Lele Jawa Timur untuk mengadakan penebaran di Desa Kepuh tersebut. Program tersebut dapa diikuti oleh para petani untuk menambah penghasilan. Setelah melihat fenomena tersebut dan menyadari adanya kesamaan antara petani dan ikan lele mereka, pada penciptaan ini penulis mengambil ide dari kehidupan seorang petani saat bekerja di persawahan dan karakteristik hewan ikan lele. Bagi penulis, keduanya memiliki keunikan dan nilai yang sebaiknya diangkat ke dalam karya seni. Artikel ini mendeskripsikan ide konsep dari budaya agraris dan budidaya ikan lele di Desa Kepuh, proses berkarya, hasil, dan penyajian karya. Penciptaan ini menggunakan metode Gustami yang melalui tiga tahapan yakni eksplorasi, perancangan, dan perwujudan. Hasil penciptaan karya batik tulis ini berupa enam karya seni batik tulis. Keenamnya diberi judul Kehidupan, Keberhasilan, Perjuangan Petani, Kesabaran Petani, Petani dan Lele, Tanaman Padi Sumber Energi. Diharapkan karya ini dapat menyampaikan pesan moral serta bagaimana kehidupan seorang petani yang dijalaninya dan kehidupan ikan lele sehingga dapat dijadikan sebagai motivasi dalam kehidupan manusia. Kata kunci: budaya agraris; ikan lele; seni batik tulis An Agricultural Culture of Rice Planting and Catfish Cultivation in Kepuh Village Community, Kertosono District as an Inspiration for Batik Tulis Motifs In Kepuh Village, Kertosono District, where the author lives, the average community earns a living as farmers and farm labourers. Then, in 2021 there will be a program organized by the village together with East Java Catfish Farmers to hold stockings in the Kepuh Village. The program can be followed by farmers to increase income. After seeing this phenomenon and realizing that there are similarities between farmers and their catfish, in this creation the author takes ideas from the life of a farmer while working in the fields and the characteristics of catfish animals. For writers, both of them have uniqueness and values that should be embodied in works of art. This article describes the conceptual ideas of agrarian culture and catfish farming in Kepuh Village, the work process, results, and presentation of the work. This creation uses the Gustami method which goes through three stages namely exploration, design, and embodiment. The results of the creation of this written batik work are in the form of six written batik works of art. The six are entitled Life, Success, Farmer's Struggle, Farmer's Patience, Farmer and Catfish, Rice Plants Source of Energy. It is hoped that this work can convey a moral message as well as how the life of a farmer he lived and the life of a catfish so that it can be used as a motivation in human life.
