The Pottery Neolithic chronology of the Levant has long been discussed based on the Amuq sequence defined by the Braidwoods. New soundings at Neolithic tells in the Rouj Basin, near Idlib, provide a series of well stratified pottery sequences that can be used to reconsider the Amuq chronology. In this article, we report the results from Tell el-Kerkh 2 which documents the earliest pottery sequence in the Levant.
