The research shows the effects of music therapy on oncological patients. Music therapy is one of the tools that help patients to cope with the stress and improves self-confidence, encourages them to live valuable life. It also has a dramatic effect on quality of life as patients who participate in music therapy sessions start to express their feelings in a more active way and also start to solve their own problems. Moreover, music therapy reduces the level of stress and anxiety in the minds and body, promotes calm state, regulates sleep, stimulates body, improves memory and consciousness. It creates an opportunity for oncological patients to release hidden emotions, express the feelings that are related to the disease, encourages to take an active role in cancer pathway and search for other support sources. The content of this research includes the following problematic question: how has the state of oncological patients changed after participating in music therapy sessions? Research object was the effects of music therapy on oncological patients.The aim of this research was to identify the effects of music therapy on oncological patients. The research has shown that people after hearing cancer diagnosis usually become anti-social - often separate themselves from society, become desolate, move away from favorite activities, also their emotions may become very feeble. The reaction to diagnosis is caused by a very strong psychological trauma that is explained as extreme stress. The fair of death destroys usual, during a lifetime gained stereotypes and changes the system of life values. Also the researched has proved that the patients as a result of music therapy during and after treatment change attitude towards the disease and start to live a meaningful life in a new high quality way that is based on the strengthened faith in God and appreciation of current moment.
The article represents the theoretical or conceptual description of the phenomenon of charisma, which is related to social work as professional activity and is focused in social worker, who is the leader in his / her professional activity. So why it is accentuated that personal charisma of a social worker is a constellation of complex social and emotional skills that allows charismatic individuals to influence others at deep emotional levels, communicate effectively with them, and build strong interpersonal relationships. Authors of the article discuss the possible answers to the following research question: How to recognize, accept and (self)develop personal charisma in social work? In the article the interdisciplinary pont of view is provided and amotional and social skills are discussed in relation to social worker‘s charisma. Authors conclude that Some of charisma-related skills are born innate, others are perfected over time, but the most important is proper application of skills. Charisma of a social worker is related to emotional intelligence, which consists of self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy and social skills. Different social work situations require differently developed skills, which msut be developed through long life education, in which the self-managed learning through interactions and within the professional environment must be the priority.
In this article are presented situations in which the feeling of dignity of a person is lost or decreases and cannot be restored without professional intervention. This loss is one of the reasons of social exclusion in communities. A person with social issues has no abilities to emphasize her/his own uniqueness and authenticity, s/he stops to progress physically, intellectually and spiritually. In this way these persons enter the field of social worker’s help. In this field of help, one of the main factors in the restoration of human dignity is the social worker her/himself: her/his personality can have a huge influence on his client. The main research question in this study is the following: How should a social worker construct the helping process to help the client to restore her/his human dignity? Research object was the social worker’s help in the process of the restoration of human dignity. Research aim was to reveal the elements of the social worker’s support process that help to restore human dignity. Analysis of the reseach-based conceptual literature was the core method to explore and reveal the answers to research questions. The findings of the analysis highlighted that in situations, when people loose their feeling of dignity within social exclusion then they experience the self-deprecating. In the process of social help a main role is played by social worker’s professional communication with the client: the social worker stimulates the maintenance and restoration of client’s dignity by applying the principle of acting together. This principle is based on moral values, reciprocal responsibility, mutual respect, sincerity, confidentiality and empathy. These components create a trustful environment where, by sustaining client’s free choice and a right of decision, the possibility to achieve client’s openness emerges.
Šiame straipsnyje analizuojami mokytojų asmenybės bruožai ir atliekami vaidmenys ugdymo procese, pagrindžiant jų ryšį su paauglių orumo ugdymusi. Mokymo ir auklėjimo procesuose svarbiausias ugdymo(si) instrumentas yra mokytojo asmenybė. Asmeninės žmogaus savybės visuomenėje yra vertinamos tos, kurios parodo orumo realizavimą elgesyje ir santykiuose, t. y. dorovinės vertybės, kurių pagrindu reiškiasi orumas.Tyrimo probleminis klausimas: kokie mokytojo asmenybės bruožai ir ugdymo procese atliekami vaidmenys yra susiję su paauglių orumo ugdymu bei ugdymusi? Probleminis klausimas neatsiejamas nuo tyrimo objekto — ryšio tarp mokytojo atliekamų vaidmenų ir paauglių orumo ugdymosi. Todėl išsikeltu tyrimo tikslu siekiama apibūdinti bei nustatyti mokytojų asmenybės bruožus ir atliekamus vaidmenis ugdymo procese, pagrindžiant jų ryšį su paauglių orumo ugdymusi. Duomenų rinkimo metodas — apklausa raštu, naudojant mišraus tipo klausimyną. Klausimyną sudarė 7 matricos tipo klausimai, apimantys 63 uždarus teiginius.Statistinė tyrimo duomenų analizė atlikta naudojant programų paketą SPSS for Windows 12.0. Aprašomosios statistikos metodais apskaičiuotos įvairių rodiklių skaitinės charakteristikos (procentinis atsakymų į klausimus skirstinys ir standar-tinis nuokrypis (SN), parodantis procentinius duomenis). Koreliacinė analizė atlikta pagal Spirmeną, nes klausimynas nėra traktuotinas kaip standartizuotas testas. Kokybiniai duomenys analizuoti remiantis kokybine turinio analize.Straipsnyje atskleidžiama, kad mokytojas ugdymo procese atlieka vyresniojo draugo (mentoriaus), klasės lyderio, auklėtojo, informatoriaus, dalyko dėstytojo ir socialinio pedagogo vaidmenis. Gauti kiekybinio tyrimo rezultatai leidžia teigti, kad: a) mokytojo, kaip mentoriaus, vaidmuo egzistuoja tik teoriškai, nes mokytojai menkai tegeba pel-nyti moksleivių pasitikėjimą ir mokytojas nėra tas asmuo, kuriuo pavyzdžiu jie sektų; b) mokiniai nesižavi mokytojo asmenybe ir jo buvimas klasėje nesudaro sąlygų gerai jaustis, neskatina atvirumo. Tai leidžia manyti, kad mokytojas, kaip klasės lyderis, paauglių orumo ugdymesi neatlieka svarbaus vaidmens; c) mokytojas, kaip auklėtojas, geba būti dėmesingas ir rūpestingas, tačiau mokiniai, bendraudami su auklėtoju, neišmoksta gerbti savęs ir kitų; d) mokytojai retai gerbia mokinių nuomonę ir būna teisingi, taigi mokytojas, atlikdamas informatoriaus vaidmenį, tik iš dalies turi įtakos mokiniams ugdantis orumą; e) mokytojas, kaip dalyko dėstytojas, yra plačiai išugdęs dalyko mokytojo vaidmeniui realizuoti būtinus gebėjimus; f) mokytojas, kaip socialinis pedagogas, retai geba mokinius auklėti savo asmenybės pavyzdžiu, o tai leidžia teigti, kad nedaro įtakos paauglių orumo ugdymuisi.
