Developing prototype aluminum pontoon lifting that functions as a floating dock for the repair of small vessels. To ensure the safety aspects of the construction of the Poonton lift, structural analysis is carried out. The purpose of research to determine the strength and fatigue life construction of lifting ponton due to loads. The method used is the finite element method and the palmgren-miner method. This research uses finite element based software. The results showed that the maximum stress value in the construction of the lifting pontoon is (σmax) = 74,897 MPa which is located in the H-Beam construction that functions as a supporting. The estimated fatigue life of the poonton lifting analyzed during operation is 9.46 years with a total load cycle of 1111680 cycles.
This article is one of wide studies that analyze culinary food served in cultural activities at Jepara. Those cultural activities become tourist attractions. This study uses qualitative method includes collection of primary and secondary sources such as literature study, observation, structured and in-depth interviews, and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Historically, cultural activities have been existed during the ancestor period, it is always accompanied by the presence of culinary that has philosophical and historical significance among them. The purpose of this study is to develop culinary culture into business units for the community by combining cultural and tourism market values that have been existed previously. The culinary varieties are expected to be able to contribute in tourism development through the establishment of new business units. The production of hydrocarbon fuels shows a downward trend which forces people to look for alternative renewable fuels such as biodiesel from vegetable oil. One solution that can be applied in the use of biodiesel mixed with castor oil. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using a mixture of castor oil on the performance of diesel engines. The method used in this experiment is testing it directly on a diesel engine. Experiments were carried out on machines with a load of up to 4000 watts by mixing pure diesel fuel with castor oil to produce biodiesel B10, B20, and B30 as fuel. The results showed that the use of castor oil biodiesel tends to be lower than diesel oil, the torque produced by B20 17,59 N.m is greater than diesel oil, and the thermal efficiency of B20 17,04 % and SFC B20 is 470,2 gr/kWh more economical than diesel oil. B20 provides better performance values foe diesel engines and this is the right solution to be an alternative fuel other than diesel oil.
The background of this research comes from the public's understanding that the jlamprang motif is a typical Pekalongan batik motif, besides that there are also those who state that this motif is an imitation of the paṭola motif. Therefore, this paper aims to determine the transformation process of the patola woven motif into the jlamprang batik motif, one of the characteristic batik motifs of Pekalongan. Why can the weaving motif turn into a batik motif? Why does the jlamprang batik motif become the hallmark of Pekalongan? The method used in this research is to trace the trade of paṭola motif cloth from India and its distribution in Java, both in the form of the distribution of decorative motifs on temples and on cloth. The search was carried out through literary texts, decorative motifs on temple walls, and motifs of cloth worn by statues. The results showed that in Java the paṭola motif has undergone a transformation from a woven motif to a decorative motif on the temple walls to a batik motif. Jlamprang became the signature batik motif of Pekalongan because it was in this city that the motif was first developed by Arab traders to overcome the scarcity of paṭola woven motifs from India. Thus, it can be concluded that the Javanese society is an adaptive society, with local genius capable of processing foreign decorative motifs into their own motifs and making them a local identity.
