Language error analysis is a study about disorder of language use based on grammatical rules. This research is aimed to analyze and interpret morphological errors in Kompas Editorials. It works on perspective content analysis method by applying documentation and hermeneutic techniques. Data collection techniques applied in this research by reading, recording, and grouping the data based on morphological categories. This research reveals that inappropriate affix uses, affix omission in particular use of prefix, suffix, and confix. To conclude, the use of official, accurate, acceptable Indonesian language should be concerned in writing the news.Keywords: analysis, language error, Kompas, editorial ABSTRAK Analisis kesalahan berbahasa merupakan ilmu yang mempelajari atau membahas penggunaan bahasa yang tidak sesuai dengan atauran yang telah ditentukan berdasarkan tata bahasa baku/standar baku, hal tersebut masih ditemukan dalam surat harian Kompas khususnya dalam tajuk rencana. Kesalahan tersebut terjadi khususnya pada tataran morfologi. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan menganalisis dan menginterpretasi kesalahan berbahasa tataran morfologi dalam tajuk rencana surat kabar Kompas. Penelitian ini menggunggunakan metode content analysis bersifat presprektif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik dokumentasi dan hermeneutik. Data penelitian ini bersumber dari tajuk rencana surat kabar harian Kompas. Data yang diteliti didokumentasi dengan cara membaca, mencatat selanjutnya disimpulkan dan dikelompokkan berdasarkan penggunaan tataran morfologi. Kesalahan berbahasa dalam tajuk rencana surat kabar Kompas terdapat kesalahan berbahasa dalam tataran morfologi khususnya penggunaan afiks yang tidak tepat, penghilangan afiks khusunya penghilangan prefiks, sufiks, dan konfiks. Berdasarkan simpulan penelitian disarankan kepada surat kabar Kompas seharusnya mengutamakan bahasa Indonesia baku, jelas, lugas, dan disesuai dengan kaidah yang berlaku.Kata Kunci: analisis, kesalahan berbahasa, Kompas, tajuk rencana PENDAHULUAN Mengingat pentingnya peran pembinaan bahasa dalam pengembangan mutu sumber daya manusia, perlu dilakukan berbagai rencana dan upaya yang terpadu dan terarah, berdasarkan suatu kebijakan bahasa yang komprehensif agar pembinaan bahasa itu dapat dilaksanakan secara lebih efisien dan efektif. Rencana dan upaya itu sama sekali tidak akan memadai kalau hanya dilakukan oleh pusat pembinaan dan pengembangan bahasa saja. Analysis of language errors is the science of studying or discussing the use of languages that are notin accordance with the rules that have been determined based on standard grammar, these are stillfound in scientific works including in a collection of scientific papers of students of IslamicUniversity of Indonesia Language and Literature Study Program. The language used by students issometimes not in accordance with the rules of language contained in the Indonesian SpellingGeneral Guidelines (PUEBI). Therefore, this research was conducted with the aim of analyzing andinterpreting errors in syntactic level language, phrase fields and sentences in a collection ofscientific papers by students of the Islamic University of Riau Indonesian Language and LiteratureStudy Program. This study uses the content analysis method that is prescriptive. Data collectiontechniques using documentation and hermeneutic techniques. The data of this study are sourcedfrom a collection of scientific papers from students at the Islamic University of Riau FKIPIndonesian Language and Literature Study Program. The data studied was documented by reading,taking notes and then concluded and grouped based on the use of each level. Errors in language in acollection of student papers at the Islamic University of Riau FKIP Indonesian Language andLiterature Study Program found language errors at the syntactic level. The results of this study, thephrase field errors are excessive or redundant use of elements and improper use of prepositions.Meanwhile, language errors in the sentence field include, the sentence is not subject, the sentence isnot predicated, the sentence is not subject and is not predicated/sentence stumps such as the use ofwords, illogical sentences, excessive use of conjunctions, non-parallel sequences, use of foreignterms , and the use of unnecessary question words.

Research on the cohesion of poetical text in Tunjuk Ajar Melayu by Tenas Effendy which viewed from the aspect of language. The role of cohesion is necessary in a text to support the linkage between the stanza with the stanza and the array with the array in a poem. With the cohesion will make it easier to read understand the author's intent. Cohesion can also affect the level of appreciation and understanding of the reader or the listener. Therefore, this study aims to know the cohesion between the lines in one line and antarbait in the text of the teachings of the teachings of Tenas Effendy Malay. The theory used Tarigan (1993), Effendy (2013), Tarigan (2009) and other supporting theories. Writing research this is descriptive-analitik with qualitative descriptive method. The data of this research are sourced Tunjuk Ajar Melayu by Tenas Effendy in 2013. Based on the research findings, there are several cohesion tools used in the text of lecture of Tenas Effendy's Malay teaching, among others, pronouncement, substitution, conjunction and lexical cohesion. There are several ways of lexical used are repetition, synonym and antonym and so on.

Learning outcomes of language error analysis courses are students mastering linguistic theories, types of language analysis, and language error analysis techniques and are able to apply theories of language error analysis at each level of linguistics. But unfortunately, the learning achievement is difficult to achieve because based on the phenomenon that the writer found as lecturer in the course of language error analysis, many students could not reach the determined target and did not have the criteria set by the lecturer or university lecturer. Based on this problem, the formulation of the problem of this research is how to analyze the errors of grammar study program of Indonesian Language and Literature in Riau Islamic University. The study used a descriptive method with a research population of all sixth semester students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program at the Riau Islamic University and used random sampling as a research sample. Research Results The ability to analyze language errors in the level of phonology of Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program at Islamic University with an average score of 47.32 with a very poor category. Meanwhile, the ability to analyze language errors at the level of morphology of Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program Students at Islamic University with an average score of 33.13 with the category of failure.

Surat kabar, sebagai media informasi yang dibaca oleh berbagai kalangan, memiliki peran penting dalam perkembangan bahasa sebuah bangsa. Sementara itu, pada surat kabar daerah atau nasional yang beredar, masih ditemukan kesalahan dalam penggunaan frasa. Kesalahan pun terjadi pada koran nasional setingkat Kompas. Kesalahan tersebut terjadi karena kurangnya perhatian terhadap kaidah kebahasaan. Oleh karena itu, dalam penelitian ini dikaji tentang kesalahan penggunaan frasa pada tajuk rencana surat kabar Kompas. Pada penelitian ini digunakan metode analisis isi (content analysis) yang bersifat preskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik dokumentasi dan hermeneutik. Data penelitian bersumber dari tajuk rencana surat kabar harian Kompas yang diambil secara acak. Data yang diteliti didokumentasi dengan cara dibaca, dicatat, selanjutnya disimpulkan, dan dikelompokkan berdasarkan kesalahan yang terdapat dalam bidang frasa. Berdasarkan analisis,  kesalahan penggunaan frasa pada tajuk rencana surat kabar Kompas adalah penggunaan unsur yang berlebihan atau mubazir dan penggunaan preposisi yang tidak tepat.
