Purpose: To show horizon to use new kind of public urban transport -autonomous tire tram of Phileas system without guide middle rail and catenarian, with magnetic-electronic steering system application – as more attractive for passengers than regular tram for urban transportations to free city lines from car jams. Methods: Analysis and generalization of work experience of leading enterprises, which exploit given kind of transport, of such countries as Netherlands (Eindhoven, Amsterdam), France (Due), Germany (Cologne), Turkey (Istanbul) as well as South Korea and so on, were held. The analysis of the most progressive constructions, applied in given vehicle, has been fulfilled. Results: Enterprise work experience has proved the feasibility to use tire tram wagons without guide rail for cities but revealed whole series of drawbacks, connected with the imperfections of the work of magnetic-electronic steering system that has whole row of irremovable flaws. Phileas rolling stock has demonstrated itself as insufficiently reliable in exploitation that has led to its gradual premature withdrawal and change with regular articulated buses, i.e. its conversion from a tram to usual BRT system. Practical significance: The use of tire tram autonomous system without guide rail and catenerian has good look-outs in cities but it’s necessary to apply more up-to-date element base for steering with the use of artificial intelligence technology. Phileas transport system has simply got ahead of its time. It’s worth not to refuse from the development of existing classical trams and light transport and the design of their new systems.
Purpose: Review of the algorithm for assessing the residual life of the lithium iron phosphate battery in the process of functional diagnostics of the electric energy storage device, based on the measurement of disturbing influences of current pulsations. Methods: Using the result of previously conducted experimental studies on the measured parameters of the lithium-ion battery pack when working with the electric energy converter, a set of statistic data is assumed, which by means of the described algorithm will produce an estimate of the remaining life of the battery cell. Results: The software algorithm for functional diagnostics of the lithiumion battery pack when working in the direct current link with the frequency converter based on the previously conducted physical experiment that collected statistical parameters of the lithium-ion battery pack in operation is considered. Practical significance: The conducted review of the statistical data of the investigated storage device gives the possibility to carry out functional diagnostics of the current resource state of the lithium-ion battery pack.
Purpose: Numerical simulation of aerodynamic interaction of a moving high-speed train with a wind load applied to the side surface of the train body elements during its exit from the tunnel to the open space is considered. The stability of the rolling stock was assessed according to the criterion of the minimum pressure of the weight load on the wheel. Methods: CFD modeling allows you to significantly expand the amount of information about the interaction of rolling stock with incoming air flow in various environmental conditions. Results: During numerical modeling, the pressure values on the surface of the housing elements of the composition in the overpressure zones and the underpressure zones were obtained. Besides, areas of application of these loads on car surface are defined. Practical significance: It was established that in case of exceeding the speed of air masses by 20% higher than the maximum recorded on the terrain of the northeastern plateau of the right bank of Angren in the prevailing wind direction, an unacceptable decrease in the weight load on the front trolley on the left wheel is possible.
Purpose: Development of mathematical models allowing to investigate the processes of aeroelastic interaction of a rolling stock with portal buildings of passover tunnels in dynamic and quasi-stationary setting with the use of deformable mobile nets and FrozenRotor methods. Methods: we present mathematical models and ways of their realization in two- and three-dimensional setting in program complexes Comsol Multiphysics and Solid Works Flow Simulation on the basis of numerical solution of Reynolds averaged NavierStoks Method (RANS) method equations. Results: The results of numerical research of velocity and pressure fields nearby tunnel portal zone, obtained with the help of developed mathematical models for the case of rolling stock entrance into a tunnel, ‘re given. Practical importance: It’s revealed that at train entrance into a tunnel, air mass runaway by a rolling stock is made with significant delay owing to effect of viscous friction force between an air and tunnel walls as well as inside air volume which fills a tunnel.
Objective: To characterize the evolution in functions of passenger transport hubs and to identify their types. To determine the specificities of investment projects for passenger transport hub development. To clarify and classify risks appeared in the projects of passenger transport hub development and to propose mechanism of their distribution amongst projects' participants. Methods: Review and analysis of scientific literature on the development of passenger transport hubs. Comparative analysis of the functionality and features of transport hubs in different countries and cities, systematization of their types. Systematization of risks in passenger transport hub development projects and their classification. Results: It is proved that the development of passenger transport hubs is a necessary condition for urban transport systems effective functioning. The types of passenger transport hubs, operating in large cities, are systemized. The identification of risks arising in the projects of passenger transport hubs development has been carried out, and the features of such projects have been outlined. The mechanism of risk distribution amongst the participants of investment projects for transport passenger hub development is proposed. Practical importance: The necessity of identification and assessment of risks in investment projects of passenger hub development is shown. It’s justified holding measures in the field of risks prevention and assessment. The results obtained may be of interest for governmental agencies as well as private partners financing projects on passenger transport hub development.
