The problem of the emergence of turbulence is one of the unsolved problems of physics and technology of the 20th century. It is noted that in order to understand the emergence of turbulence in a viscous heat-conducting gas, it is necessary to take into account the compressibility of the medium. A definition of turbulence in a viscous heat-conducting gas is given, which is a cyclically repeating process of the emergence and decay of coherent vortex structures described by a vector wave equation. The decay of vortex structures is accompanied by an explosive, asymptotic increase in pressure pulsations, which triggers a new cycle of turbulence generation. The emergence and decay of coherent vortex structures in the boundary layer on a plate and in a round jet is considered.
The article is devoted to study of the resonance electromagnetic oscillations arising during unstable operation of the sliding current collection unit of turbo-generators. Mathematical modeling of these processes is carried out. It has been established that it is these processes that are the main cause of increased sparking and “ring fire” or “breakdown of commutation” on contact rings.
This paper discusses conceptual basis for assessment and analysis of model quality relating to formalized description of technologies. The authors give indicators used to assess formalized and textual descriptions of technologies. They raise some questions concerning the analysis of technologies that enable to make a list of indicators. The paper examines decomposition structures of specific technologies and provides the calculations of introduced coefficients.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
