This research aims to discover students’ increase abilities, skills, and innovative behaviors after being taught using a problem-based learning model using IoT-B-HMI-LM in the form of Trainer Kit. The study was conducted using quantitative methods on 69 students and eight teachers with electrical engineering expertise at vocational high schools in East Java, Indonesia. The stratified simple sampling technique was used to determine the research sample. Data analysis used descriptive statistics and paired sample t-test.

The results of the study show an increase in students' abilities, skills, and innovative behavior after being taught a problem-based learning model using the IoT-B-HMI-LM in the form of a Trainer Kit.
Trainer adalah salah satu media penunjang pembelajaran yang efektif dalam membantu proses belajar, realitasnya belum semua sekolah memiliki trainer. Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan trainer dan job sheet instalasi penerangan listrik 3 fasa gedung bertingkat berbasis smart building yang layak digunakan, dilihat dari kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui Research and Development (R & D), dan uji coba penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian One Shot-Case Study yang dilakukan di SMK Negeri 1 Driyorejo Gresik. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 24 peserta didik kelas XI TITL-1. Data validitas trainer dan job sheet diperoleh dari hasil penilaian tiga ahli menggunakan lembar validasi; data kepraktisan trainer dan job sheet diperoleh dari respon guru dan peserta didik melalui angket respon, dan keefektifan diperoleh dari data hasil belajar peserta didik menggunakan instrumen post test, lembar observasi dan tes kinerja proyek. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan one sample t-test. Didapatkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan rating validitas trainer 83 %, 85% dan job sheet 85,77% >80% (sangat valid). Rating respon guru 88, 89% dan peserta didik 86,92% > 80% (sangat praktis). Hasil belajar peserta didik rerata 84,21 (sangat efektif) dan berbeda signifikan dibandingkan nilai KKM>75. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan, trainer dan jobsheet yang dihasilkan sangat layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran instalasi penerangan listrik gedung bertingkat berbasis smart building. Hasil penelitian dapat dipakai pertimbangan kepala sekolah SMK untuk mendorong, memotivasi, dan memfasilitasi guru merealisasikan pembelajaran dan evaluasi hasil belajar dilengkapi trainer dan jobsheet HOTS.
The independent learning curriculum is a new curriculum that is being promoted by the Minister of Education and Culture at this time. Many teachers are still adjusting this new curriculum. This study aims to elaborate on the implementation of technology and vocational education management in Vocational High Schools (SMK) Surabaya in the face of an independent learning curriculum. Using this type of qualitative research so that the data produced is descriptive. Data sources obtained from principals and representatives of various fields (student affairs, curriculum, facilities and infrastructure) as well as teachers along with supporting documents. Collecting data using interview, documentation and observation techniques. Data analysis is carried out after collecting all the supporting data, then the data is reduced, played data to conclusions. This research was conducted at one of the SMK Surabaya odd semester TP. 2022/2023. From this research, it can be produced that the curriculum used by SMK Surabaya is an independent learning curriculum. In the implementation of education management, this curriculum has not found weaknesses or advantages because it has only been running for a few months. So the author gives advice to use and pay attention to swot analysis in order to get better data.
