Özet Amaç: Çalışmanın amacı; hemşirelerin malpraktis algısını ve bu konudaki tutum ile davranışla-rını değerlendirmektedir. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Tanımlayıcı ve kesitsel tipte bir çalışmadır. Araştırma, 15 Mart-18 Nisan 2012 tarihleri arasında Gümüşhane Devlet Hastanesi'nin kliniklerinde çalışan 124 hemşirenin gönüllü katılımıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veriler, "Hemşirelikte Tıbbi Hataya Eğilim Ölçeği" kullanı-larak toplanmıştır. Çalışma yapılmadan önce İl Sağlık Müdürlüğünden yazılı izin alınmıştır. Çalış-ma araştırıcılar tarafından katılımcılara çalışmanın amacı ve içeriği anlatıldıktan sonra yüz yüze görüşme tekniği ile anket sorularının cevaplandırılması esasına göre yapılmıştır. Çalışmada kullanılan anket formu iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. Formun birinci bölümü literatür bilgisine uygun olarak araştırıcılar tarafından oluşturulmuştur ve sosyodemografik veriler ile malpraktis algısını ölçmeye yönelik soruları içermektedir. Veriler bilgisayarda SPSS paket programı kullanılarak frekans, ki-kare testi, Mann Whitney U testi ve Kruskal Wallis testleri ile değerlendirilmiştir. Bulgular: Hemşirelerin yaş ortalaması 29.68+6.57 yıldır. %22.6'sı gelirini yeterli olarak belirtmiş-tir. Katılımcılara göre malpraktisin nedenlerinin arasında; yorgunluk, iş yükünün fazla olması, stres, yöneticilerden memnun olunmaması gelmektedir. Katılımcıların meslekten memnuniyetleri ile malpraktise maruz kalma ve maruz kalma durumunu ilgili birimlere anlatma arasında anlamlı farklılık yoktur. Tartışma ve Sonuç: Çalışmada bazı sosyodemografik özelliklerin (yaş, eğitim durumu, meslekte toplam çalışma süresi gibi) malpraktis açısından önemli olmadığı ancak cinsiyet ve çalışma durumu ile ilgili şartların (çalıştığı servis/vardiya/haftalık ortalama çalışma süresi gibi) önemli olduğu görülmüştür. Materials and Methods: This is a descriptive and cross-sectional study, performed with 124 nurses who voluntarily participated and were working in clinics of Gumushane State Hospital between 15 March and 18 April 2012. The data were collected by using the "Malpractice Trend in Nurses Scale." Prior to conducting the study, its purpose and content were explained to the participants and written permission of Provincial Health Directorate was obtained. The participants' answers to the survey questions were gathered by face-to-face interviews. The data form used consisted of two parts. The first part that included sociodemographic data and questions to assess malpractice perception was prepared by the researchers in accordance with the relevant literature. The data were assessed in terms of frequency, chi-square, Mann-Whitney U, and Kruskal Wallis tests, and by using statistical software. This study was conducted in order to collect information about the current knowledge, attitudes, and beliefs of the students, studying in the elderly care department of Vocational School of Health Services in Bingöl University, about euthanasia and determine the related problems if any. The population of this descriptive study consisted of students studying in Elderly Care department of Bingöl University, Vocational School of Health Services. The data collection tool used in the study was the Questionnaire developed by the researcher based on the literature information. The Questionnaire involves 33 questions. It was determined that 75.2% of the participants thought that their knowledge about euthanasia was sufficient, 20.5% did not consider that their knowledge level was enough. While 85.5% of the participants never encountered euthanasia request in their professional life, 5.1% encountered several times. In accordance with the obtained results, it is recommended to discuss euthanasia by being considerably involved in elderly care curriculum and conduct qualitative studies about euthanasia.
PurposeThe purpose of this research was to analyze the knowledge, attitudes and behaviors of the nurses and midwives about the early diagnosis of breast cancer.Materials and methodsThis cross-sectional study was carried out at 9 family medical centers (FMCs) and 1 community health center (CHC) in Bingol; the population of this research consisted of 25 midwives and 38 nurses. The protocol for this study was approved by the regional ethics committee of Bingol University. The study was performed in accordance with the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki. The purpose of this study was explained to the nurses and midwives who participated, and their written and verbal permission was obtained; great care was taken to ensure that they understood participation was voluntary. A questionnaire of 41 questions was used for the data collection.ResultsWhen the age distribution of nurses and midwives was examined, it was found that 96.8% of them were aged ≤39 years. A total of 92.0% of midwives and 84.2% of nurses practiced breast self-examination (BSE). A total of 56% of the married women practiced family planning, and the most frequent method was using contraceptive pills. A total of 88.9% of the women had never had hormonal treatment for any reason. The BSE knowledge level of 65% of the women, who performed clinical breast examination, was complete. Among the women who had full knowledge of BSE, 38.5% of them performed examination once every 6 months, 23.0% of them once a year and 38.5% of them once every 3 years.ConclusionThis research showed that the deficiencies for nurses and midwives regarding the early diagnosis methods of breast cancer have been identified, and supporting these deficiencies with training is recommended.
ÖZET Amaç:Bu araştırmada amaç, Doğu Anadolu Results:The average age of the people attending the study is 31,66±7,34 (min: 18, max: 56) and 53% of them is woman and 54,9% is nurse. The most prefered method of hand washing is (at the rate of 68,6%) water and soap and also it was found that 84,3% of the frequency of hand washing is expressed as often.
