This paper is intended to explain about the global forum that Indonesia associate with—the G20 which is a form of international collaboration in the field of economy and global monetary started since the 1999 as a form of answer towards the monetary crisis that happened in the 1998. G20 was formed to intensify the global economic together hand in hand. Global economic issues seems to have no end and to resolve that the economic world needs an official forum to reach an agreement and solutions to face the global economic challenges. Some national economic issues cannot be resolved alone by the country itself and so the need of teamwork is really crucial to achieve some specific things so the monetary in international level can be resolved. Some developed and developing countries use G20 as the media to review the issue and then review the solution so that they can achieve an ultimate solution that possible throughout the discussion. Indonesia joined the G20 in 2008 after being deemed to meet the criteria of a strong-based economic country and was the only country in Southeast Asia to become a member of the G20. This journal article was formed using a conceptual method that will describe the systematic G20 forum and its function in helping the world economy and become a container for the improvement of Indonesia’s national economy.
ASEAN as a regional organization has fundamental principles that underlie all activities carried out by member countries. This basic principle was recorded in the TAC (Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in South-East Asia) in 1976. However, in February 2021, one of the ASEAN member countries, Myanmar, was facing a crisis caused by a coup by the Myanmar military. ASEAN has a fundamental principle that keeps member countries from interfering with each other. However, the Myanmar crisis could affect other member countries and ASEAN cooperation. This study aims to determine the pattern of ASEAN cooperation in dealing with the Myanmar crisis under the basic principles of ASEAN. The research method used is a case study method with this type of research as qualitative research. This paper concludes that ASEAN principles which contrasting to the issues that currently occur make it difficult for ASEAN to make a foreign policy-making approach to the issue of the Myanmar military coup. In addition, this paper also concludes that to overcome the limits given by these basic principles, ASEAN takes an approach through the ASEAN Way of Diplomacy.
According to 2020 UNAIDS data, there are approximately 20,700,000 people infected with HIV, with 12,900,000 infected are women in Eastern & Southern Africa. This condition is caused by the lack of health rights for women which is also based on the limited rights of women to matters such as education, employment and finance. This study aims to examine the role of global government in accommodating global actors to address issues of gender equality in women's health in Eastern and Southern Africa. This research is built on the concept of global governance theory and feminism. The research method used is qualitative research methods using case studies. This paper concludes that global actors (governmental and non-governmental) make important contributions through international cooperation and produce various programmes for women's empowerment and health assistance. These programmes and assistance are producing slow but steady changes to gender equality and the well-being of women in the Eastern and Southern Africa region. Because through these various health programmes and assistance, women in the Eastern and Southern Africa region can optimise their rights as women as well as human beings.
The instability of the conflict in Mali has increased for four years since 2018. The increase in violence, military coups, political instability, humanitarian crises, and terrorism has forced the United Nations to increase its strength in pushing for the implementation of peace agreements in the Mali intrastate conflict. This research was conducted using qualitative methods with secondary data to see the role of the United Nations in encouraging the resolution of the intrastate conflict in Mali during the period of instability for the last four years. In the analysis, this study finds that through a mandate renewed every year, the United Nations adopts its role to encourage conflict resolution with the dynamics of conflicts from 2018 to 2022. Over the past four years, the role of the United Nations as an international organization to encourage the implementation of resolutions to the conflict in Mali focuses on several things, namely; (1) Overseeing Mali’s political transition, (2) Strengthening security for civilians and peacekeepers through international cooperation, (3) Acting as government assistance to promote human rights and law enforcement, and (4) Encouraging the progress of the 2015 peace agreement in Mali to achieve the maximum target.
