Methods:An applied study of technological production with a quantitative approach was carried out in a Federal University of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. A total of 57 participants, comprising residents, chief--residents and mentors of a Multidisciplinary Residency Program in Health with emphasis on intensive care, professionals and health students from other institutions attended the course, which consisted of six modules and lasted one month duration. At the end, the Likert scale was applied to assess student satisfaction. Results: of the total number of participants, 73.68% carried out the assessment, which was positive in most cases, demonstrating student satisfaction. As for the course content, 100% agreed that it was satisfactory. Conclusion: the object of the distance education course was relevant and able to meet the demands of the multidisciplinary team, as shown by the number of enrolled participants, interest in the topic and well-prepared course.ABSTRACT Justificativa e Objetivos: visando desenvolver atividades que qualifiquem as práticas de saúde dentro das instituições de ensino, o objetivo foi desenvolver e avaliar um curso à distância sobre sepse. Métodos: estudo aplicado de produção tecnológica com abordagem quantitativa, realizado em uma universidade federal do Rio Grande do Sul. 57 participantes, residentes, preceptores e tutores de um Programa de Residência Multiprofissional em Saúde com ênfase em intensivismo, profissionais e estudantes da saúde de outras instituições, tendo seis módulos e duração de um mês. No final, aplicou-se a escala de Lickert avaliando a satisfação dos alunos. Resultados: dos participantes 73,68% fizeram a avaliação, a maioria positiva, demonstrando bom aproveitamento. Quanto aos conteúdos desenvolvidos, 100% concordaram que foi satisfatório. Conclusão: o objeto de aprendizagem em EAD foi relevante e capaz de atender a demanda da equipe multiprofissional, evidenciado pelo número de participantes inscritos, interesse no tema e curso bem elaborado.
