Introduction: Students' perception of an examination reflects their feelings, while its item analysis refers to a statistical analysis of students’ responses to examination items. The study was conducted to compare the student’s perception towards examination to its item analysis. Material and methods: This is a cross-sectional study conducted at the college of medicine, from January to April 2019. The study used a structured questionnaire and standardized item analysis of students’ examinations. All students who had registered for semester two (2018-2019) were included in the study. Exclusion criteria included students who refused to participate in the study or those who did not fill the questionnaire.
Result: KR-20 of the examination was 0.906. The average difficulty index of the examination was 69.4. The response rate of the questionnaire was 88.9% (40/45). Students considered the examination to be easy (70.4%). A significant correlation was reported between student perceptions towards examination difficulty and standard examination difficulty.
Discussion: Student perceptions support the evidence of examination validity. Students were found able to estimate examination difficulty.

Knowledge of the variations of the renal artery has grown in importance with increasing of renal transplants, vascular reconstructions and various surgical and radiologic techniques performing in recent years. We report the presence of unilateral doubled renal vessels, discovered on routine dissection of a male cadaver, on the right side; additional renal artery originated from the abdominal aorta. In addition the right suprarenal gland received arteries from right renal and inferior phrenic arteries only. The right inferior phrenic originated from the right renal artery.
Purpose:The study of the relationship ,between the age at menarche and socioeconomic status in a rural area in Sudan.Work method:This was a cross-sectional descriptive study conducted in Altadamon and Eldubha areas in the northern state of Sudan during year 2006. It included 182 girls of age between 13 to 18 years in elementary and secondary school.Work results:The mean age at menarche for girls in Northern Sudan in this study was 13.93 ± 1.29 year, the mean menarcheal age in these girls are amongst the lowest values presented for African countries. The mean duration of menstrual bleeding among girls in the Northern Sudan in this study was 4.8 ± 1.22 days. We also found statistically significant differences in age at menarche between girls whose parents had a higher educational level and those with a lower educational level and also according to the economic status and size of the family.Conclusion:Between the girls whose parents were living together and girls whose parents separated there was a significant difference of 1.02 day.
