In this study, a new high step-up non-isolated DC-DC converter is proposed. This converter is derived from quasi-Z-source inverter and quadratic boost converter. Compared with these converters, it gives higher gain at the same duty ratio. Steady-state analysis for the proposed converter operating in continuous conduction mode is presented. Expressions for power loss in each component and gain for non-ideal converter are derived. Design expressions for various elements of converter are derived. A small-signal model is derived and controller design is discussed. A prototype is implemented in laboratory to verify the performance of the converter. Experimental results show good agreement with the theoretical analysis and simulation results.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
