Movements of classical ballet body posture changes: a brief reportIntroduction: Not detected early body changes can increase the risk of injuries, muscle and joint pain, lower technical performance in training and the efficiency of the activities of daily living. Objective: To investigate the influence of the movements of classical ballet (arabesque, attitude and grand jeté) in body posture and a dancer. Methods: Participated in the study a dancer, aged 18 and 12 years of practice of classical ballet. Body posture was analyzed by photogrammetric (Postural Assessment Software - SAPO) and movements of classical ballet: arabesque, attitude e grand jeté, through kinematics analyze (Peak Motus system). Results: In the results the dancer showed tendency to extension trunk, anterior pelvic tilt and semiflexion knees and ankles in standing position. A relationship between standing position and the investigated ballet positions was observed. Conclusion: We conclude that the practice of ballet can be associated to changes in the ballet dancer posture.
