The objective of this study is to describe the parents' perception regarding the participation of their children with disabilities who represented the state of Roraima in the School Paralympics games. It is characterized as descriptive and with a qualitative approach. Information was collected through semi-structured interviews. Four parents/guardians of students with disabilities participated who represented the state of Roraima in some edition of the competition. The results demonstrate that: Sociability, Health and Improvements in psychological aspects, are the main contributions of the participation of children with disabilities in the School Paralympics games. Thus, expanding the participation of students with disabilities in this competition can contribute to the development of Paralympic sport in the state, as well as to expand public policies that will ensure the right of people with disabilities to sport at all stages of life.
