An example of a ring R and a multiplication R-module M is given such that every prime submodule of M is cyclic but M is not. Some sufficient conditions for a multiplication module to be cyclic have also been given.

In this paper, we have studied prime submodules in distributive modules, prime avoidance theorem for multiplication and distributive modules and the question when a multiplication module becomes flat. Some examples are also given related to some questions for projective, flat and multiplication modules.
