Abstract. The article highlights the problem of mine workers occupational safety. The foreign and domestic experience of the field is analyzed. Some areas, activities and methods that meet modern requirements for ensuring occupational safety and production development, which are aimed at improving the quality of occupational safety management system, are described. The possibilities of their use in industrial safety of Kuzbass coal mining enterprises are considered. The proposed methods were implemented by JSC "Shakhta Yuzhnaya", "Kiselevsky Razrez" Ltd., the coal mining enterprises of the Kemerovo region.
Abstract. The article is devoted to the crucial issue of the interpersonal communication skills of engineering graduates and studies the verbal behavior of the graduates majoring in mining engineering in conflict professional communication considered in a cross-cultural aspect. The research is based on the needs that future mining engineers have for conducting successful communication, work in teams and run an effective discourse both verbally and in writing. Verbal communication involves a strategic process by which a speaker defines the language resources for its implementation. By choosing a strategy which should contribute to the goals and objectives of the interaction a speaker makes the process of communication either successful or leading to a communicative failure. The scientific importance of this work is in multidiscipline approach and cross-cultural study of ethnic and cultural influences, gender and other characteristics of the verbal behavior of Russian and American engineering graduates.
Modern society needs to establish a balance between social and economic development and environment conservation. This target can be met through the integrated use of legislative, economic and administrative measures developed and implemented by various international, national and regional organizations. Environmental management can achieve the maximum efficiency only through the joint use of three environmental policy instruments: direct regulating, market-based instruments, and voluntary programs. Direct regulating is inherently directive in terms of establishing emission standards / discharge limits, industry product and process specifications, and transparency reporting requirements. The implementation of market-based instruments depends on the day-to-day use of private sector financial calculations. Economic methods include price-based instruments and property-based instruments. Voluntary programs, actively encouraged by governments, offer intangible rewards such as public recognition. The vast legislative framework and activities of governmental and public organizations encourage mining and processing enterprises to strictly conform to environmental rules and regulations. While multiple market-based instruments of environmental management and voluntary programs provides businesses with greater autonomy in choosing ways, means and terms of restructuring their environmental policies to meet pressing environmental challenges.
Введение. Сегодня для решения наиболее острых социальных, экономических, экологических проблем необходимы междисциплинарные исследования. Статья посвящена исследованию возможностей междисциплинарного подхода в условиях интеграции содержания профессиональных и общеобразовательных дисциплин в рамках изучения иностранного языка.Цель: разработать и апробировать профессионально ориентированный кейс с использованием цифровых инструментов при обучении иностранному языку как один из путей реализации междисциплинарного подхода в образовательном процессе вуза.Методы. Для подтверждения эффективности междисциплинарного кейса проведен педагогический эксперимент, включающий опрос студентов, оценивших методы проведения занятий и их влияние на мотивацию к формированию различных блоков компетенций.Результаты. В ходе исследования было установлено, что метод профессионально ориентированного кейса с применением цифровых инструментов способствует повышению мотивации к изучению дисциплины, позволяет развивать языковые, коммуникативные и профессиональные компетенции, а также навыки использования цифровых технологий в профессиональной деятельности при решении задач междисциплинарного характера. Кроме того, обозначены проблемы, осложняющие развитие междисциплинарной образовательной среды в вузе: дефицит возможностей для интеграции содержания отдельных дисциплин; наличие организационных препятствий для формирования междисциплинарных групп; ограниченные возможности для реализации индивидуальной образовательной траектории; дефицит преподавателей, владеющих навыками, необходимыми для работы с междисциплинарными группами; слабая преемственность междисциплинарных программ на уровнях системы высшего образования.Практическая значимость. Профессионально ориентированный кейс с применением цифровых инструментов, разработанный на стыке общеобразовательных и профессиональных дисциплин, можно использовать как один из инструментов для создания междисциплинарной образовательной среды в условиях цифровизации в современном вузе. Introduction. The article studies the possibilities of using an interdisciplinary approach under the process of professional and general disciplines content integration in the higher education system in the context of foreign language learning.Aim. To develop and to test a professionally-oriented case study using digital tools for teaching a foreign language as one of the ways of implementing an interdisciplinary approach in the educational process of university.Methods. In order to reaffirm the effectiveness of the interdisciplinary case study, a pedagogical experiment was conducted, which included a survey on the methods of classes and their impact on the level of students' motivation to form different blocks of competencies.Results. It was found that the application of the professionally-oriented case study increases students’ motivation, helps to develop linguistic, communicative, and professional competencies, skills of using digital technologies in professional activities when solving problems of interdisciplinary nature. In addition, the authors identified the problems that complicated the development of interdisciplinary educational environment at the university. Among them the lack of opportunities for integrating the content of different disciplines, presence of organisational barriers to the formation of interdisciplinary groups, weak opportunities for implementing individual educational trajectory, lack of teachers possessing the skills required to work with interdisciplinary groups, weak continuity of interdisciplinary programmes at higher education levels.Practical significance. A professionally-oriented case study with the employment of digital tools, developed at the nexus of general and professional disciplines can be used to create an interdisciplinary environment in the context of digitalisation in modern higher education.
