Echinacea herb and preparations based on it have the immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory properties necessary for today, which is due to the presence of phenolcarboxylic acids in their composition. At the moment, the quantitative determination of phenolcarboxylic acids in echinacea tablets requires time-consuming sample preparation and determination by a spectrophotometric method that does not have sufficient specificity. In this regard, it is proposed to standardize the quantitative determination of phenolcarboxylic acids in echinacea tablets by HPLC, which will effectively separate the components of the mixture to study its composition, establish the dominant of chicory acid in the water-ethanol extract, and also reduce the time spent on analysis.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
