To each Ag are also coordinated two P atoms from two triphenylphosphine molecules. The coordination polyhedron around Ag is a distorted tetrahedron. The crystal structure is thus built up from discrete dimeric molecules.
Abstract. (AgCIP2C29H30)2 , monoclinic, P21~n, a= 13.428 (1), b=33.263 (4), c=12.414 (1) A, fl= 99"30(1) ° , V=5472 ]k 3, Z=4, Dc=1.43, Do=1.45 g cm -3. Two Ag atoms are joined both by doubly bridging CI atoms and by two molecules of 1,5-bis(diphenylphosphine)pentane. Each Ag is thus coordinated to two CI and two P atoms, the latter belonging to different ligand molecules. The coordination round the Ag and P atoms is distorted tetrahedral.
Abstract. (AglPzSCzsHzs)2, triclinic, PT, a = 11.796 (2), b=10.108 (2), c=12.332 (3) ,A,, ~=96.45 (2), fl= 102.95 (3), 7=94.84 (2) °, V= 1415 .h3, Z= 1, DoRic= 1"62, Dobs = 1"61 g cm -3. Bis(diphenylphosphinoethyl) sulphide, [(C6Hs)2PC2H4]2S, acts as a bidentate bridging ligand with the two P atoms coordinating different Ag atoms. The S to Ag distances imply no coordination between these atoms. The ligands are connected twoand-two by P-Ag-P bonds. The Ag atoms are also joined by a double I bridge. The crystal structure is thus built up by discrete dimeric molecules, (AgIPzSCzsH2s)2. A comparison is made between the structures of the isotypic compounds (AgXPzSCzsH28)2, X = I and CI.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
