The major purpose of our research is to promote cognitive development of disabled children in the context of inclusive education. In order to do so, we address aspects of interaction, communication and game design in stimulating selected cognitive abilities. By using a Human-Computer Interaction method based on the Inspection of Evaluation, it was possible to study and understand user interaction with the interface and thus examine the positive aspects as well as the communicability problems found with the JECRIPE game -a game developed specially for children with Down syndrome in pre-scholar age.

Os sistemas de recomendação surgiram com o objetivo de auxiliar os usuários no processo de busca na Web, indicando informações para o usuário com base no seu perfil. Esses sistemas são de grande valia para o processo de aprendizagem, pois professores e alunos podem realizar buscas por conteúdos educacionais mais apropriados ao seu perfil (nível de formação, áreas de interesse, etc.). Este artigo apresenta um modelo de referência para sistema de recomendação, que dispensa a intervenção do usuário no momento de traçar seu perfil e utiliza técnicas de mineração de dados. O modelo foi implementado no protótipo “Ponto com Filtro” para verificar sua aplicabilidade.

This article shows a study of the level of reliability of welded and bolted connections in cold formed steel members, for some limiting states, adopted by AISI and Brazilian codes. The aim of this study is the assessment of the reliability index β for a variation of the nominal live-to-dead load ratios as well as comparison of the value found considering different load combinations. The first order reliability method is used to calculate the reliability index β. In this study, reliability indices smaller than 3.5 were obtained, especially for bolted connections. Consideration of the model errors and FORM method, lead to significant reductions in reliability indices, which are found to be less than the recommended target reliability levels.
