Objetivo.  Por medio del modelo de taller participativo se realizó la caracterización del subsistema de plagas de mora sin espina en el departamento de Risaralda con agricultores de las diferentes asociaciones. Metodología. Se utilizó el análisis multivariado, empleando la técnica de correspondencias múltiples para variables categóricas a fin de hallar los clústers de productores; posteriormente, una prueba Chi-cuadrado comparó los resultados de cada clúster y verificó las diferencias significativas que podían existir dentro de los mismos. Resultados y conclusión. Con base en la presencia de insectos por cada etapa fenológica del cultivo se encontraron cinco clústers de agricultores. Los moricultores del departamento reportaron como organismos presentes en el sistema productivo insectos de las familias Thripidae, Chrysomelidae,  Melolonthidae y Aphididae, y de las especies Atta sp., Hepialus sp., Monalonion sp., Prodiplosis sp., Eurhizococcus colombianus, y moluscos como babosas (Orden: Pulmonata); sin embargo, los trips y el barrenador de tallo (Hepialus sp.) fueron los insectos fitófagos más prevalentes. Asimismo, una prueba Chi-cuadrado determinó que, según la percepción del agricultor, los trips son los insectos más prevalentes durante todas las etapas fenológicas del cultivo.

The participatory research with farmers was carried out in order to know the socioeconomic and productive reality of blackberry farmers no thorn (Rubus glaucus Benth) from seven cities in the state of Risaralda, taking into account the technological demands of the crop. It was carried out with 328 producers, grouped into 40 subgroups, participatory methodologies were used such as Participatory Rural Diagnosis, appraisals, direct and participant observation, interviews and semistructured dialogues, group discussions and analysis, information output matrices, ideas for group reflection, talking maps, analysis of qualifications and scores, comparison of opinion groups, workshops, semistructured interviews, field days, participatory research plots and field transects, from an on-demand research scheme. El bananito es el único diploide comestible del grupo acuminata y es apetecido en diferentes escenarios comerciales. Sin embargo, la disponibilidad y el acceso a semilla con calidad es escasa en la zona cafetera, donde se produce principalmente este clon. Un mecanismo para aumentar la oferta de este clon es a través de la multiplicación de plántulas en cámaras térmicas. Para ello, se evaluaron diferentes rangos de peso del cormo y el uso de la fertilización, para establecer condiciones de manejo para obtener material vegetal con atributos de calidad. Se seleccionaron 10 tratamientos producto de la combinación de dos factores (fertilización y peso del cormo); T1: con fertilización, cormo 50-100g; T2: con fertilización, cormo 100-200g; T3: con fertilización, cormo 200-300g ;T4: con fertilización, cormo 300-700g; T5: con fertilización, cormo 700-1.000 g; T6: sin fertilización, cormo 50-100g; T7: sin fertilización, cormo 100-200g; T8: sin fertilización, cormo 200-300g; T9: sin fertilización, cormo 300-700g y T10: sin fertilización, cormo 700-1.000 g. Se evaluaron variables de crecimiento y desarrollo (altura del colino, grosor del pseudotallo y número de hojas). Con los resultados obtenidos en 6 semanas de evaluación se encontró que el principal efecto se produjo por el peso del cormo, donde a pesar de que en todas las plántulas hubo buen comportamiento, los cormos con pesos ≥300g presentaron los mejores valores para las variables evaluadas. Esta información, entrega a los productores algunos criterios importantes implementar un proceso de multiplicación de semilla ya sea para autoabastecimiento o como una posible opción de negocio.
