The aim of this study was to compare clinical and radiological outcome of lateral condyle fracture of the elbow in children treated with bioabsorbable or metallic material. From January 2008 to December 2009, 16 children with similar fractures and ages were grouped according to the fixation material used. Children were seen at 3, 6, and 12 months and more than 4 years (mean 51.8 months) postoperatively. The clinical results were compared using the Mayo Elbow Performance Score (MEPS). Radiographic studies of the fractured and opposite elbow were assessed at last follow-up control. Twelve children had a sufficient followup and could be included in the study. Seven could be included in the traditional group and 5 in the bioabsorbable group. At 12 months, the MEPS was 100 for every child in both groups. Asymptomatic bony radiolucent visible tracks and heterotopic ossifications were noted in both groups. There were no significant differences in terms of clinical and radiological outcome between the two groups. The use of bioabsorbable pins or screws is a reasonable alternative to the traditional use of metallic materials for the treatment of lateral condyle fracture of the elbow in children.
In article is examined the crowdsourcing technology and the technology based on its principles a crowd-recruiting as instruments of staff recruitment in the organization. The presented technologies are new effective tools large-scale by geographical coverage and number of participants of selection of the employees who are really interested in work with this organization. Crowd-technologies, which are based on "the phenomenon of the crowd" can not only greatly speed up the solution of important problems for the company, but also significantly reduce costs. Was designed the methodology of introduction of crowdsourcing technology at staff recruitment in the organization Because of introduction of this methodology is assumed optimization of costs of the personnel, thanks to improvement of staff recruitment by means of crowd-technologies (crowdsourcing, crowd-recruiting, crowd-staffing), namely: increase of qualitative structure of the personnel and reduction of staff turnover thanks to what will be seen labor productivity growth.
This article attempts to make a comprehensive analysis of the impact of "geopolitical competition" policy on the state and future development of national security of the Russian Federation. We believe that geopolitical competition is caused not only by the need to protect national interests, but also acts as the condition that generates threats (challenges) to national security. The article deals with external factors, such as the transformation of geopolitical competition, changes in the post-Soviet space, and the development of the Arctic, as well as two internal factors, which concern the attainment of national identity and the militarization of public life, because we believe that these factors have the most negative impact on the state of national security in the Russian Federation. Geopolitical competition is currently increasing because of the aggravation of relations between states because of the distribution of spheres of influence.
A sequential nonparametric method is proposed for adaptation to background noise parameters for real-time. The method is designed to operate as an adaptation-unit, which is included inside a detection subsystem of an integrated multichannel monitoring system. The proposed method guarantees the given size of a nonasymptotic confidence set for noise parameters. Properties of the suggested method are rigorously proved. The proposed algorithm has been successfully tested in real conditions of a functioning C-OTDR monitoring system, which was designed to monitor a railway. (Abstract)
