Plum moth Grapholita funebrana Tr. is a dominating pest in entomological complex of plum production in the south of Russia. The yield`s loss caused by it can reach 60-70 %. In the modern plant protection systems Insegar, VDG (250 g/kg fenoxycarb) is most commonly used for control of the pest`s number. Its use helps to save up to 98.5-99.8 % of the fruit. The aim of the research was to study fenoxycarb`s effect on quality, productive capacity and food safety of Kabardinskaya rannyaya cultivar of the plum. It was found that double use of the insecticide doesn`t lead to significant difference in the content of organic acids and dry substances. However, it encourages the increase of the leaf`s surface by 4-10 sm2 and annual additional growth of the plant by 6-52 sm in comparison to the control. It was established that fenoxycarb is completely decomposed at the end of the “Waiting period”.
Slugs cause serious harm to nurseries and young plantations of fruit and berry crops in the Krasnodar region. On garden strawberries, the most common species is the field slug Deroceras agreste L., whose larvae damage ripe fruits and leaves, as well as contaminate them with their secretions and mucus, which leads to a decrease in the quality of seedlings and contributes to damage by secondary pests. In modern protection systems, the most commonly used pest control systems are molluscicides containing methaldehyde. The aim of our research was to assess the biological effectiveness of the molluscicides Sliznyakoff, G (60 g/kg methaldehyde) and Slizneed, G (60 g/kg methaldehyde) in controlling the abundance of field slugs in strawberry agrocenoses on the Clery variety. It was found that with an average number of phytophage larvae in the control variant (12.5-16.0 individuals / 10 m2), a single use of molluscicides causes 95.3 % mortality of D. agreste L. on the 7th day.
The dominant pests in the apple and plum cenoses are representatives of the tortrix family (Tortricidae) on the apple - the codling moth (Cydia pomonella L.), on the plum - the plum moth (Grapholitha funebrana Mats.), which develop in the region of southern Russia in three full generations. The loss of yield from the vital activity of these phytophages can reach 60-80%. It has been established that the inclusion of a 2-fold application of the insecticide Insegar, WDG in the apple and plum protection system allows preserving 98.9% of apple fruits and 94.6-99.2% of plum fruits. The stimulating effect of the use of insecticides of the juvenile group on the agrobiological indicators of the apple-tree variety Golden Reinders and the plum Kabardinskaya early was revealed, namely, the increase in the length of the one-year growth. It has been proven that the double application of Insegar, WDG in apple and plum plantations does not lead to violation of hygienic standards for the content of fenoxycarb in soil and fruits.
