A las instituciones educativas les resulta útil medir el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes para saber el alcance de los objetivos educativos, sin embargo, este puede estar afectado por diversos factores, como el burnout académico, estrés académico y baja autoestima del estudiante. El presente trabajo plantea como objetivo, describir el estado actual del conocimiento sobre el efecto del burnout académico, estrés académico o autoestima deteriorada, sobre el rendimiento académico en estudiantes de pregrado del área de la salud; los resultados permitirán generar estrategias de intervención desde la acción tutorial. Los estudiantes universitarios del área de la salud, deben poseer un adecuado bienestar, incluyendo el aspecto mental, ya que estos individuos precisan brindar servicio a la comunidad; algunas de las características en estas licenciaturas son la seguridad y confianza en sí mismo para tomar decisiones, por esta razón, es fundamental apuntalar en la detección oportuna del estrés, burnout y desarrollo de la autoestima en los estudiantes para evitar en la medida de lo posible la depresión, ansiedad, angustia y adicciones, de lo contrario, los alumnos no podrán sostener la carga académica y profesional o hacer frente de manera adecuada a los obstáculos que se presenten en el camino médico asistencial. ABSTRACT Educational institutions find it useful to measure the academic performance of students to know the scope of educational objectives, however, this may be affected by various factors, such as academic burnout, academic stress and low student self-esteem. The objective of this work is to describe the current state of knowledge on the effect of academic burnout, academic stress or impaired self-esteem, on academic performance in undergraduate students in the health area; The results will allow generating intervention strategies from the tutorial action. University students in the area of health must have adequate well-being, including the mental aspect, since these individuals need to provide service to the community; Some of the characteristics in these degrees are security and self-confidence to make decisions, for this reason, it is essential to support the timely detection of stress, burnout and development of self-esteem in students to avoid as far as possible depression, anxiety, anguish and addictions, otherwise, students will not be able to sustain the academic and professional load or adequately face the obstacles that arise in the medical care path.
