chromans were synthesized using a Ritter reaction between cis-2-(polyfluoroalkyl)chroman-4-ols and various nitriles.

Benzopyran derivatives R 0350 Uncatalyzed Addition of Indoles and N-Methylpyrrole to 3-Formylchromones: Synthesis and Some Reactions of (Chromon-3-yl)bis(indol-3-yl)methanes and E-2-Hydroxy-3-(1-methylpyrrol-2-ylmethylene)chroman-4-ones. -The reactions of 3-formylchromones with substituted indoles and N-methylpyrrole mostly do not require any catalyst and solvent. The transformation of (IIIa) and (IIIb) with guanidine and hydrazine hydrate affects the chroman ring and results in construction of a pyrimidine or pyrazole rings. -(SOSNOVSKIKH*, V.
