Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh level energi dalam pakan terhadap produktivitas pejantan buras. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapang menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan diulang sebanyak 4 kali. Pejantan buras yang digunakan sebanyak 16 ekor umur 80 minggu. Analisis statisik menunjukkan tingkat energi memberikan pengaruh sangat nyata (p<0.01) terhadap konsumsi pakan, konsumsi energi, pertambahan bobot badan; nyata (p<0.05) terhadap produksi semen dan tidak nyata (p>0.05) terhadap mortalitas. Rataan konsumsi pakan yang didapatkan pada penelitian ini berkisar antara 86-96 g/ekor, konsumsi energi 255.1-263.9 kcal/ekor, PBB 70-105 g/ekor dan produksi semen 0.55-1.08 ml. Produktivitas terbaik didapatkan pada pakan perlakuan dengan energi metabolis 2850 kcal/kg.
Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui efektifitas daun kemangi dalam mencegah kejadian mastitis subklinis pada sapi perah dengan menggunakan metode teat dipping. Materi yang digunkan dalam penelitian ini dua belas ekor sapi perah yang menderita mastitis subklinis digunakan dalam rancangan acak kelompok (RAK). Perlakuan berupa teat dipping menggunakan dekok daun kemangi 20%, 30%, 40% dan iodin selama 14 hari. Tingkat kejadian mastitis diketahui dari penjumlahan skor California mastitis test (CMT) dari keempat putting sapi perah. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan ada pengaruh nyata (P<0.05) pada setiap konsentrasi dekok daun kemangi dan iodin. kisaran rata-rata skor CMT sebelum teat dipping sebesar 0,96-1,25, kemudian sesudah dilakukan teat dipping selama 14 hari dengan menggunakan dekok daun kemangi kosentrasi 20%, 30%, 40% dan iodin kisaran rata-rata skor CMT turun menjadi 0,42-0,67. Perubahan skor CMT sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan teat dipping selama 14 hari di dapatkan penurunan yang cukup signifikan dengan kisaran 42,74%- 69,72%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini dekok daun kemangi dapat digunakan sebagai alternative antiseptik alami untuk mengantikan iodin dalam mencegah kejadian mastitis subklinis pada sapi perah dengan metode teat dipping
This study investigated the potency of green cincau leaves (Premna oblongifolia merr) juice as prebiotics end its effect on laying performances (feed intake, egg weight, feed conversion and hen day production) based on pH and digestive viscosity. The potency of green cincau leaves juice as prebiotic was tested. The result showed that green cincau leaves juice was effectively support growth of Lactic Acid Bacteria (LAB) with 4.3 x 10 2 CFU.g-1 samples but did not support the growth of Escherichia coli. The effect of green cincau leaves juice on laying performances was examined. Two hundred fifty 56-wk-old Hisex Brown layers received different diets namely 0, 5, 7.5, 10 and 12.5 ml of green cincau leaves juice added in the basal feed. The method used in this study was experiment based on Completely Randomized Design and followed by Duncan's Multiple test if significant effect occurs. The result showed that increase level of P. oblongifolia merr in feed did not significantly affect (P>0.05) feed intake, egg weight, feed conversion and hen day production.
AbstracThis research was conducted to layer farmers in Sukolilo village, Wajak in Malang distric .The data collection was conducted during Desember 2017 -January 2018 that focus on elasticity of egg price to farmer interest of develop their farming. Research method used is a method of survey sample with determination of the sampling method purposively namely layer chicken farmers who had 300-3000 chickens. The number of the overall sample can be reserach used is egg price, number of the population, feed price, pullet price, afkhir of layer price. Data analysis conducted includes data qualitative and analysis to calculate the elasticity of egg price by used Cobb-Douglas regression analysis. Data prosesscing from the result of this research condusted using the the SPSS version 16,0. The result show that afkhir of layer price have significant to affect elastic of egg price. The research concluded that 1) afkhir of layer price is a factor have significant affect to farmer interest of develop their farming and elastic to egg price 2) number of population, feed price and pullet price are the factors that are not elastic to egg price.Keywods : elasticity of egg price, number of population, feed price, pullet price, afkhir of layer price
