Bridges are significant elements of the transport infrastructure, so they should be in operation throughout the whole design life. Therefore, it is necessary to know the main causes of damages and failures of the bridges. The corrosion of structural steel caused by atmospheric influences as well as the bridge exploitation cause a cross-sectional reduction of structural elements and, consequently, a decrease of the resistance of steel bridge members. The article deals with corrosion and its impact on steel bridge elements in order to use this data for developing actual corrosion model appropriate for design of structures on durability.
Abstract. Durability is a very important parameter for design of the engineering constructions because of influence due to degradation processes in the form of structural steel and reinforcement corrosion caused by the environmental actions within structure lifetime. Those degradation processes are affecting the cross-sectional and structural member resistance and deformation parameters of structure. The paper is focused on the study of the corrosion characteristics of the steel bearing structures of engineering constructions to know corrosion effects on the structural steel and to develop the methodology of design for durability.
ANALIZA IZOLACYJNOŚCI TERMICZNEJ NIEJEDNORODNYCH SZKIELETOWYCH ŚCIAN ZEWNĘTRZNYCH W artykule omówiono konstrukcję ścian zewnętrznych domów jednorodzinnych wznoszonych w technologii lekkiego szkieletu stalowego oraz szkieletu drewnianego. Na podstawie normy PN-EN ISO 6946: 2008 wyznaczono współczynnik przenikania ciepła analizowanych przegród niejednorodnych cieplnie. Otrzymane wyniki analizy porównano ze sobą oraz zweryfikowano z aktualnymi wymaganiami warunków technicznych izolacyjności termicznej niejednorodnych przegród zewnętrznych.Słowa kluczowe: stalowe budownictwo szkieletowe, drewniane budownictwo szkieletowe, budownictwo mieszkaniowe, współczynnik przenikania ciepła
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
