Resumo -O conhecimento da inter-relação entre os fluxos superficial e subterrâneo de águas é de grande importância na gestão dos recursos hídricos disponíveis em uma região. A forma de conexão entre esses dois sistemas pode gerar impactos importantes como, por exemplo, o bombeamento intensivo de água subterrânea em uma área pode causar, a curto prazo, a redução drástica do fluxo Abstract -Knowledge of the connection between surface water and groundwater is of great importance for the management of the available water resources in a determined region. The way of how these two systems are connected can lead to considerable impacts, for example, the short-term effect due to groundwater pumping causing river flow depletion. A methodology was developed to estimate this effect groundwater pumping. Statistical filters were used on the daily discharge data from rivers aiming to estimate the contribution of different sources. To test the applicability, the data from the Barwon Downs Graben water catchment were used, which is located in the southwestern part of the state of Victoria, Australia. This area has an important amount of technical information, which allowed the confirmation of the results.Palavras-Chave -Efeito do bombeamento. Filtragem estatística. Gestão integrada.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
