A comprehensive review of the literature indicates that there is a lack of research on the influence of all the organizational culture (OC) types on academics’ readiness and behavioral intention to implement eLearning changes in higher education institutions (HEIs). To address this gap, this study empirically investigates the impact of OC on academics’ readiness and behavioral intention to implement eLearning changes within HEIs in Kuwait during the COVID-19 pandemic. A 218 self-administered survey was distributed to public and private HEIs. The analysis of collected data reveal that the most prominent OCs are hierarchy and market types which support readiness for change. The contribution of this study lies in further understanding the impact of OC on academics’ readiness for eLearning changes and behavioral intention to support eLearning implementation. The findings further offer an original contribution by confirming the mediating role of academics’ readiness for eLearning changes in the relationship between OC and behavioral intention. This paper adds to the change management literature by collecting data during the COVID-19 pandemic within the interesting context of HEIs in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), which is currently scarce. The implications of this study contribute to the sustainability of Kuwaiti HEIs.
This study aims to explain factors that have influenced the e-government service quality in Kuwait during the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Data is collected data from 392 users of the e-government services in Kuwait. The analysis has revealed that having a functional e-government portal allows citizens to complete their transactions and depend heavily on using the e-government services. Moreover, trust, ease of use, and citizen's support were also significant in terms of affecting service quality. The findings also show reliability of content and appearance of information as significant factors. COVID-19 had moderating influence on the relationship between reliability, trust, and citizens' support with e-government service quality. These results imply that citizens care about the functionality of the e-government portal and that it allows them to conduct all the transactions and processes that they need. These findings are useful for government officials to understand the most important elements for e-government service quality and thus design services.
The COVID-19 pandemic has been affecting world economies, business revenues, and the livelihood of many individuals, and has also resulted in accumulated medical waste. Countries, governments, and health workers are striving to contain this virus by applying different strategies and protocols. This research investigates and identifies the significant determinants that influence the acceptance and Adoption of non-hazardous medical waste recycling behaviour in Kuwait. This article questions whether healthcare workers in Kuwait are actually behaving differently regarding non-hazardous medical waste recycling during the pandemic as opposed to previously. The study uses a deductive research approach involving a quantitative methodology by applying the theory of planned behaviour as a framework. From an overall perspective, individuals have positive intentions and behaviours toward recycling. However, COVID-19 and the fear of spreading the virus had a positive impact on the healthcare workers' recycling behaviour in public hospitals in Kuwait.
E-learning has arisen as a need to face the obstacles raised by Covid-19's current circumstance and IT growth and the capacity for greater access to information. The decision to close all educational institutions, including public and private universities, is among the difficulties faced by the State of Kuwait during the Corona pandemic. There were appeals and claims to carry out the e-learning process separately. However, several obstacles affect the implementation of e-learning in higher education. Whether various stakeholders in higher education institutions prefer to accept or oppose e-learning for their work needs to be understood. This study explores the readiness of instructors in Kuwait's higher education institutions to carry out the process of e-learning. The key purpose of this report is to evaluate Kuwait's universities instructors' readiness. To realize this research target, the e-learning literature was studied, and an exploratory analysis was performed in Kuwait. Then a conceptual model was proposed based on TAM's technological preparation model and amended with the findings of e-learning literature analysis to measure the e-learning acceptance. The initial conceptual model was developed to research e-learning readiness in Kuwait. Quantitative analysis approach was used to analyze and test the conceptual construct. Conducted a questionnaire web-based. This report ends by highlighting research's key results.
