While the utilization of wood as a raw material in related industries has been increasing with the population increasing, the availability of wood from natural forests has continued to decline. An alternative to this situation is the manufacture of particleboard from non-wood lignocellulose materials through the modification of sandwich particleboard (SPb) using bamboo strands as reinforcement. In this study, strandsof belangke bamboo (Gigantochloa pruriens W) and tali bamboo (Gigantochloa apus) were utilized. The non-wood particles included sugar palm fibers, cornstalk, and sugarcane bagasse. The board was made in a three-layer composition of the face, back, and core in a ratio of 1: 2: 1. The binder used was 8% isocyanate resin. The sheet was pressed at a temperature of 160 °C for 5 min under a pressure of 3.0 N/mm 2 . Testing included physical and mechanical properties based on the JIS A 5908 (2003) standard, while acoustic testing was based on ISO 11654 (1997) standards. The results showed that using bamboo strands as reinforcement has an effect on the mechanical and physical properties of SPb. Almost all the types of boards met the JIS A 5908 (2003) standards, with the exception of thickness swelling (TS) and internal bond (IB) parameters. Based on the thickness swelling parameter, the C-type board exhibited the best properties. Overall, the B-type board thatused a belangke bamboo strand for the surface and sugarcane bagasse as the core underwent the best treatment. Based on the acoustical parameter, boards using a tali bamboo strand for the surface and sugar palm fiber as the core (E-type board) exhibited good sound absorption properties.
The school effectiveness is influenced by interaction between external and internal factors. This research aims to examine the mediating effect of school culture between teacher concern innovation and emotional intelligence on school effectiveness. Questionnaires were distributed to 333 teachers of elementary school and analyzed using Structural Equation Models (SEM) with AMOS 18.0 Software. The results show that teacher concern innovation was significantly and positively related to school culture but correlate indirectly on school effectiveness. The positive relations between emotional intelligence and school culture and school effectiveness were also significant. It was found that school culture is able to mediate teacher concern innovation on school effectiveness. The other finding is that emotional intelligence and school culture have direct effect on school effectiveness. These findings suggest that the higher teacher concern on innovation and emotional intelligence promote the positive school culture and effectively improved the school education quality.
The study aimed to translate the Exercise Self-Efficacy Scale (ESES) into Indonesian and test the cultural equivalence, reliability, and validity of the new version for university students. Methods: The cross-sectional study recruited 379 Indonesian university students using convenience sampling. Phase 1, a culturally appropriate version of the ESES was developed in the Indonesian language. Phase 2, the psychometric properties were determined through exploratory factor analysis, bootstrap factor analysis, and confirmatory factor analysis. The internal consistency reliability was tested using Cronbach's a, whereas the stability using intraclass correlation coefficient to assess. Results: The students' ages ranged from 17 to 39 years, and 65.0% were women. For translation equivalence, the mean item content validity indexes ranged from 3.5 to 4, and all items were understandable. The 16-item scale exhibited cross-cultural appropriateness and readability, with a three-factor model explaining 62.3% of the variance in exercise self-efficacy. A bootstrap analysis using 100 resamples further confirmed the three-factor model. The indices of the good-fit model that used the three-factor by two-stage least squares method were satisfactory, with c 2 /df ¼ 3.3, goodness of fit index ¼ .88, and root mean-square error of approximation ¼ .05 (p < .001). The Cronbach's a was .78, .80, and .92 for factors 1, 2, and 3, respectively. The test-retest reliability was demonstrated with an intraclass correlation coefficient of .91, indicating adequate measurement stability. Conclusion:The 16-item ESES-I has acceptable validity and reliability; however, a broader application of the scale requires further testing in different populations to confirm its external validity.
Nursing documentation is necessary in the nursing care process. In Indonesia, nursing care documentation is still not up to standard, leading in issues with nursing care implementation, such as poor documentation of quality of care provided in hospitals, making it difficult to verify that nursing care was administered correctly. Documentation of nursing care is an indicator of nurse performance which is influenced by nurse time management. The research objective was to determine the correlation between nurse time management and documentation of nursing care at the Muhammadiyah Hospital in Metro. This research was quantitative research, with a cross sectional approach. The sample were 157 people taking by purposive sampling technique. Univariate and bivariate data analysis used Spearman test correlation analysis (rho). The results obtained from 61 respondents, it is known that nurses have good time management as many as 33 people (54.1%), as many as 24 nurses (39.3) had enough time management. There is a correlation between time management and documentation of nursing care at the Muhammadiyah Hospital in Metro 2022, the value of p = 0.001 (p = <0.05). It is expected that the at the Muhammadiyah Hospital in Metro, especially for the nursing management, will be able to carry out regular checks on patient status or nursing records from assessment to evaluation, and can improve the quality of service in nursing by providing opportunities for nurses to take part in seminars on good time management and documentation of nursing care.
