Polypropylene-based systems with identical crystalline structures but of different physical states of noncrystalline regions were analyzed. Based on X-ray and PALS measurements, the observed change of the intensity of the cavitation phenomenon during the deformation of the analyzed systems was explained. Additionally, the method used to specify the effective content of the modifier in interlamellar regions based on PALS measurements, as well as the observed change of the value of long period, was pre-
. 552The flexibility and enhanced tailored functionalities of quantum dots/polymer nanocomposites makes them very attractive in photonics and other applications. A systematic approach and a new methodology for evaluating the encapsulation of CdSe/ZnS quantum dots into polymer matrices are demonstrated. The photoluminescence properties of nanocomposites are studied to effectively assess the efficiency of polymers as nanoparticle hosts toward advanced nanocomposite photonic devices.
