Abstract-Nowadays, Karyotype analysis is frequently used in cytogenetics. It is a time-consuming and repetitive work therefore an automatic analysis can greatly be valued. In this research, an automatic method is presented. Firstly, a proposed locally adaptive thresholding method is used to segment chromosome clusters. Then, the clusters is divided into two main categories including, single chromosomes and multichromosome clusters based on geometric shape of clusters. In the next step, each extracted cluster is investigated to find the dark paths in order to detect touching chromosomes. Then, overlapping chromosomes are separated in clusters based on their geometric shapes. Finally, a criterion function is used to measure the similarity between the outputs of the proposed algorithm and the single chromosomes in order to recognize separated parts. The proposed algorithm is applied on 47 G-band images. The results shows that single chromosomes and clusters are recognized by the precision of 98.5% and 86.4%, respectively and separation of touching and overlapping clusters are done by precision of 70% and 67%, respectively.
-Lung cancer is distinguished by presenting one of the highest incidences and one of the highest rates of mortality among all other types of cancers. Detecting and curing the disease in the early stages provides the patients with a high chance of survival. In order to help specialists in the search and recognition of the lung nodules in tomography images, a good number of research centers have been developed in computer-aided detection (CAD) systems for automating the procedures. This work aims at detecting lung nodules automatically through computerized tomography images. Accordingly, this article aim at presenting a method to improve the efficiency of the lung cancer diagnosis system, through proposing a region growing segmentation method to segment CT scan lung images and, then, cancer recognition by FIS (Fuzzy Inference System). The proposed method consists of three steps. The first step was pre-processing for enhancing contrast, removing noise, and pictures less corrupted by LinearFiltering. In second step, the region growing segmentation method was used to segment the CT images. In third step, we have developed an expert system for decision making which differentiates between normal, benign, malignant or advanced abnormality findings. The FIS can be of great help in diagnosing any abnormality in the medical images. This step was done by extracting the features such as area and color (gray values) and given to the FIS as input. This system utilizes fuzzy membership functions which can be stated in the form of if-then rules for finding the type of the abnormality. Finally, the analysis step will be discussed and the accuracy of the method will be determined. Our experiments show that the average sensitivity of the proposed method is more than 95%.
Abstract:The use of UAV in the application of photogrammetry to obtain cover images and achieve the main objectives of the photogrammetric mapping has been a boom in the region. The images taken from REGGIOLO region in the province of, Italy Reggio -Emilia by UAV with non-metric camera Canon Ixus and with an average height of 139.42 meters were used to classify urban feature. Using the software provided SURE and cover images of the study area, to produce dense point cloud, DSM and Artvqvtv spatial resolution of 10 cm was prepared. DTM area using Adaptive TIN filtering algorithm was developed. NDSM area was prepared with using the difference between DSM and DTM and a separate features in the image stack. In order to extract features, using simultaneous occurrence matrix features mean, variance, homogeneity, contrast, dissimilarity, entropy, second moment, and correlation for each of the RGB band image was used Orthophoto area. Classes used to classify urban problems, including buildings, trees and tall vegetation, grass and vegetation short, paved road and is impervious surfaces. Class consists of impervious surfaces such as pavement conditions, the cement, the car, the roof is stored. In order to pixel-based classification and selection of optimal features of classification was GASVM pixel basis. In order to achieve the classification results with higher accuracy and spectral composition informations, texture, and shape conceptual image featureOrthophoto area was fencing. The segmentation of multi-scale segmentation method was used.it belonged class. Search results using the proposed classification of urban feature, suggests the suitability of this method of classification complications UAV is a city using images. The overall accuracy and kappa coefficient method proposed in this study, respectively, 47/93% and 84/91% was.
