Video based practicum learning is very important to further develop and understanding of science concepts for elementary school students. This researcher aims to determine the effect of the video based material transformation practicum on the understanding of the concepts of 5th graders students at SDN Duren Sawit 07 Jakarta. The research used a quasi-experimental quantitative method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The place and population of the research, were the 5th grade students of SDN Duren Sawit 07 Jakarta, totaling 56 students, divided into experimental class and control class. Information was collected using pretest and posttest question. This show that the typical value of the experimental class and control class using the N-Gain equation is 70,72% in the experimental class and 43,32% in the control class. The strategy of testing hypothesis information using Peireds T-Test obtained an importance value of 0,000 < 0,05. The results showed that there was an effect that video based practicum could increase understanding of science concepts for 5th grade elementary school students. Pembelajaran praktikum berbasis video sangat penting untuk lebih mengembangkan teoritis dan pemahaman konsep sains peserta didik sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh praktikum perubahan wujud materi berbasis video terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa kelas V SDN Duren Sawit 07 Jakarta. Penelitian tersebut menggunakan metode kuantitatif quasi experimental dengan pendekatan Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Tempat dan jumlah populasi penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas V SDN Duren Sawit 07 Jakarta yang berjumlah 56 peserta didik, dibagi menjadi kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Informasi dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan pretest dan posttest. Menunjukkan bahwa nilai mean pemahaman konsep IPA kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan persamaan N-Gain adalah 70,72% di kelas eksperimen dan 43,32% di kelas kontrol. Strategi pengujian informasi hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji-t Peired diperoleh nilai sig 0,000 < 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh praktikum berbasis video dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep IPA bagi peserta didik kelas V SD.
